Beta-glucan is a polysaccharide (a sugar-based molecule) found in oats, yeast and mushrooms. Beta glucan for skin is valued for a hydrating, soft and comfortable feel, and it's commonly found in toners, essences and creams for dry or sensitive-feeling skin. A beta glucan serum is the easiest way to add it, and beta glucan skincare is often paired with centella, panthenol and ceramides. Benefits of Beta-Glucan

Beta-glucan is a polysaccharide found in oats, yeast and mushrooms. In skincare, beta glucan skin benefits center on hydration and a soft, comfortable feel, which is why it's a common pick for dry or sensitive-feeling skin. Its light, slightly silky feel suits watery toners, essences and serums, so a beta glucan serum fits as an early layer before moisturizer. It pairs well with centella, panthenol and ceramides. As with any new product, patch test first.

Tip

Skin still feels dry?

Apply a beta-glucan toner or essence on damp skin, then lock it in with a ceramide or hyaluronic acid moisturizer.

    40s+Oily Skin

    Pros

Every time I look in the mirror lately, I've noticed my complexion getting darker, and I wanted to improve it. But I didn't want to feel weighed down by layering multiple heavy products, so I was searching for a lightweight blemish ampoule I could use easily. A friend recommended Numbuzs No. 5 Glutathione C Blemish Ampoule, so I decided to try it. When I first applied it, I was surprised because I expected the ampoule to feel sticky or slippery for a long time, but it actually absorbs pretty quickly once I spread it on my skin and gently tap it in. This makes it really comfortable to use even in the morning, which was a huge plus. What's especially great is that when I do my makeup, I don't get that pilling feeling from my base products anymore. So now I'm using it consistently both morning and night. As for the blemishes I was worried about, I can't say I've seen dramatic results yet, but I've definitely noticed my complexion gradually becoming brighter. Plus, my skin feels hydrated and dewy instead of dry like before, which I'm really satisfied with.

    40s+Oily Skin

    Pros

I'm writing this review as a winner of The Hwahae Testers program. First, I have extremely oily skin with enlarged pores and blemish-prone skin. I'm also one of those tricky types with adult eczema in areas where heat builds up. I'd never tried a hydration serum before, but I got the chance to test one through The Hwahae Testers. To cut to the chase, this is definitely a staple product for me. The formula is a hydration-rich serum that, when you look closely, contains little moisture particles. When I apply it to my skin, it spreads like water and absorbs beautifully and cleanly. Since I have extremely oily skin and absolutely hate that sticky, clingy feeling products leave behind, the Abyve hydration serum is refreshingly clean while still delivering hydration without being excessive. It's light enough to use before makeup without any worry. I absolutely loved this product.

    Pros

    1. I think this is a must-have product for every household. It's something the whole family can use together. It's especially amazing for relieving itchiness. Not just babies, but adults love it too. 2. I'm recommending this because the product quality is outstanding. I've lost count of how many I've repurchased—there's honestly no substitute for how good this is. I'm really proud that there's such an excellent Korean product out there.
