Pros
The absorption is incredible—no matter where I apply it, it absorbs completely as if I hadn't applied anything at all. It's 100% absorption.
Madecassoside is a purified compound from Centella asiatica, valued for its soothing, comfortable feel on sensitive-feeling skin. As one of centella's key components, it's commonly used in serums, creams and masks to help skin feel moisturized and comfortable, and it's frequently paired with panthenol, ceramides and hyaluronic acid. On labels, it often appears next to "Centella Asiatica Extract," so check the ingredient list to see which compounds a formula includes. As with any new product, patch test first.

Madecassoside is a purified compound from Centella asiatica and one of centella's key components. Its benefits center on a soothing, comfortable feel on sensitive-feeling skin, which is why it's used in serums, creams and ampoules. On labels, it often appears next to Centella Asiatica Extract, Asiaticoside or Asiatic Acid, since these centella-derived compounds are commonly used together. A gentle serum or cream is a simple way to try it. It's frequently paired with panthenol, ceramides and hyaluronic acid. Patch test first.

LAGOM
OAT MICELLAR CLEANSING MILK

Pros
I feel like I've tried hundreds of cleansing products throughout my life. Since they're consumables and essential whenever I wear makeup or use sunscreen, I've gone through quite a few. I'd always been curious about Lagom products after seeing reviews on TV saying they're incredibly gentle and effective. Lagom Oat Micellar Cleansing Milk is a makeup remover made with oat extract. You just pump it onto your dry face with makeup or sunscreen on, massage it in with rolling motions to dissolve the makeup, then wipe it off with a tissue or do a second cleanse with a foam cleanser. It's so soft and gentle, yet the cleansing effectiveness is really impressive. If it feels too slippery, it can feel a bit heavy, but this one gives just the right finish and feels gentle, which I love. They apparently made this product using Aquarichsia, a component from African acacia trees, to help with hydration. Since they used an ingredient that maintains moisture even in arid environments, it feels more trustworthy somehow, and I can definitely see why it feels so hydrating. There are countless cleansing milk products on the market, but among them all, I really recommend Lagom Oat Micellar Cleansing Milk for its excellent hydration, gentle formula, and strong cleansing power.

Pros
For me, the scent is everything when it comes to body wash, and I absolutely love the fragrance on this one! Every time I shower, my mood instantly lifts. Both my husband and I are happy with how it smells—it's such a versatile musk scent that appeals to everyone regardless of gender. It's honestly the best!
Not necessarily. Centella Asiatica extract contains several compounds, and madecassoside is one of them, purified as its own ingredient. Both are used for a soothing, comfortable feel, so check the label to see which a formula uses.
It's a common pick for a soothing, comfortable feel on sensitive-feeling skin, often paired with panthenol and ceramides. Results vary, so patch test first, and see a dermatologist if redness persists.
Generally yes. Madecassoside isn't known to clash with common actives, and soothing-focused routines often layer it with retinol or niacinamide. Add one new active at a time, and patch test before first use.
