In Japan, what we commonly call 'skin' in Korea is often referred to as 'emulsion'. Currently, Rohto Pharmaceutical offers a moisturizing skin product as <Medicinal> Clear Emulsion (lotion). Though I haven't used it for long, the scent isn't irritating, and unlike regular toners, it doesn't feel sticky. Instead, it leaves a hydrated yet fresh feeling! I think it would suit most skin types well. True to the Acnes line, this toner contains ingredients like isopropylmethylphenol, which is excellent for inflammatory blemishes. It also includes AHA, which is great for exfoliating dead skin cells! As someone who has tried everything from Rohto's Acnes Creamy Wash to these emulsions, I've seen remarkable effects on emerging blemishes, inflammatory acne, and stress or hormone-related breakouts. The next day, they usually subside without any irritation. It's truly the best! Due to cosmetics regulations set by the food and drug administration, it seems they don't sell this in Korea, which is unfortunate as it makes it a bit difficult to obtain. It's called a 'ふきとり' (fuki-tori) emulsion, so they say using it with a cotton pad as an exfoliating toner is good for removing dead skin cells and hydrating. However, you can also just apply it directly with your hands. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 20, 2019
It has an alcohol scent, and as someone who occasionally gets blemishes, I can feel my skin clearing up when I use this toner! While this toner works well for me, it might not suit everyone, so please keep that in mind! It works wonderfully when used together with an emulsion! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 19, 2019
It's so hydrating! It feels like my skin is getting super moisturized... It's a strange but pleasant sensation, haha (that's just my personal take) There's a bit of a scent... I personally didn't like it. The fragrance seems to be one that people either love or hate It works well when you apply this first, then follow up with the cream prescribed by your dermatologist - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 30, 2018
As someone with dry, sensitive skin prone to dead skin cells, I've always been cautious about trying new products. But after using this, my skin became smooth and glowing, and it even helped calm my blemishes! I'm really impressed! Well, it's a bit disappointing that the container doesn't have separate compartments, and it's not widely available in many stores, which is a shame. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 16, 2018
I was really pleased to see that my pores visibly reduced after using this product. It had an alcohol smell, and when I applied it with a cotton pad and left it on my face for a minute before wiping off, it caused a tingling sensation. It wasn't particularly good for me. - cm********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 29, 2018
I liked it because it had a simple, basic feel. It seemed like something you could use without any fuss. My skin was completely breaking out, so I decided to switch my toner. I meant to buy a powder toner but accidentally chose this one. I was a bit concerned when I noticed it contains PEG in the ingredients. I only used it as a cleansing toner. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 19, 2018
I found the scent quite pleasant. It seemed to absorb well, so I used it a few times. Perhaps due to the alcohol smell, it actually feels like it's stripping moisture from my skin. So disappointing! You need to apply an emulsion or hydrating moisturizer within a minute of using this product. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 2, 2018
I discovered this Acnes Skin when I started getting adult acne, and it seems to work well for me. I've used about 5 bottles over a year and a half. The toner doesn't evaporate quickly, so it keeps my skin hydrated. I also like that the bottle has a narrow opening, making it easy to dispense just the right amount. When you first open and use the toner, there's a strong alcohol scent that can be off-putting. It might make you hesitant to use it at first. The smell does lessen over time, but initially, it wasn't pleasant at all. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 15, 2018
When I first started getting acne, I got this product recommended at Olive Young. Initially, the alcohol gave a cool and refreshing sensation that felt invigorating. Well... I experienced severe deep dryness. For me, it was quite intense. So I had to apply plenty of emulsion right after using this toner. As I used it for a longer period, I realized it didn't seem particularly helpful for my blemishes, so I switched to a different product. I found it works well when used together with the Acnes emulsion! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 1, 2018
When I use this toner, it feels like my skin texture is refined and cleansed as if it's been sanitized. I've used up an entire bottle without experiencing any blemishes! There's nothing particularly disappointing, but the sanitizing sensation can be quite strong. Sometimes it stings a bit when I have any skin issues.
