I bought this for my kids' summer water activities. Our previous product was difficult to use in water, so... I'm satisfied with this one! Nothing particularly bad... However, since it's supposed to be waterproof, I'll need to pay extra attention when cleansing. This review compares a new waterproof sunscreen to a previous product, highlighting its suitability for water activities. The reviewer is pleased with the purchase but notes the need for thorough cleansing due to its waterproof nature. - cu******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 13, 2025
I reapply this when I'm outdoors. While it does leave a slight white cast, it doesn't dry out my skin. Among all the sunscreens and sun sticks I've tried, this one seems to be the best. Please share any aspects of the product you found disappointing in detail. - mk*******Combination SkinJul 9, 2025
The convenience of applying without getting it on your hands and its non-irritating nature It's too soft, leaves a white cast, and doesn't absorb evenly when spread - ji*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 8, 2025
I bought this for when I'm out and about, and I love how the teardrop shape makes it easy to apply on my own. Like most products, it's unavoidable that some gets on the cap when closing it. - 10*******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 2, 2025
I bought this for both my child and myself when there was a buy-one-get-one-free offer, as I heard the ingredients were gentle. I really liked that it had an extra cap inside the lid for added protection. The sunscreen didn't leave much of a white cast and absorbed well into the skin. It made my eyes feel a bit dry when applied near them, but I've experienced this with other products too. - hy***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsJun 30, 2025
- The stick format makes it easy to apply and convenient to carry around - It doesn't cause any blemishes - It leaves white residue on areas with hair like eyebrows or hairline, which is hard to remove - When you sweat, it turns noticeably white - It doesn't apply as smoothly as expected - It feels heavy on the skin - du********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 27, 2025
Easy to apply and I like it. There's a slight white cast, but it looks natural. To be honest, there's not much to complain about... Highly recommended, and Hwahae offers the best price. - 93***Dry SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 24, 2025
As a woman in her early 30s without kids, I bought this for myself, so please keep that in mind. I have thin skin prone to redness, and after using an organic birch moisturizer that caused a burning sensation, I decided to switch to a mineral sunscreen. While looking for a mineral sunscreen stick, I chose this one because it's been consistently highly ranked on Hwahae, and was even named the top pick by Director Pi a few years ago. There aren't many mineral sunscreen sticks out there, which made the decision easier. It glides on incredibly smoothly. Being a mineral sunscreen, there's a slight white cast, but it doesn't leave you looking greasy. The finish isn't completely matte, but it's comfortably dry. It worked well on my face, neck, and arms. Just a tip: when reapplying, it's best to wipe off any sweat first for even application. Otherwise, it can look patchy. There's a faint toothpaste-like scent, which might be due to certain ingredients. However, it dissipates quickly, so I didn't find it bothersome. I discovered something while applying it on my dad - for men, it's better to spread it with your hands on areas with facial hair, like the chin. Otherwise, it can leave white residue. I bought a 1+1 deal, and if I like it after finishing one, I plan to make this my go-to sunscreen stick. At 21 grams, the quantity isn't as much as I expected. It should last well for one summer season. There's a slight white cast, and if you apply too much, it can clump. Gently patting it with your fingers helps spread it evenly. This is somewhat unavoidable with mineral sunscreens. Although it has a built-in cap, small debris inevitably sticks to it, so you need to wipe it clean with a tissue before each use. This is common for all sunscreen sticks, so if this bothers you, you might want to consider other types of sun protection products. If you're not in a hurry, wait for a sale. I got mine during a 1+1 deal with an additional discount, and used up all my Hwahae points, bringing the total down to 15,970 won. - st******Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 21, 2025
It works great for kids - applies smoothly and isn't sticky at all. Pretty good overall! There's nothing particularly disappointing about it, but it does melt if left in hot places. When using this product for children, its non-sticky formula and easy application are definite plusses. Just be mindful of where you store it, as it can liquefy in high temperatures. - hy*****RecommendedJun 21, 2025
I started using this on my baby as soon as they turned 6 months old. While my little one usually dislikes having things applied to their face, they actually enjoy this sunstick! Even though it's a stick formula, it leaves a nice, slightly moisturizing feeling on the skin. It's also super convenient for reapplying when we're out and about. It does require cleansing afterwards, which can be a bit of a hassle, but that's because it provides such effective sun protection. My child always wears a hat when we go out, and I've noticed the sunscreen tends to transfer onto it like makeup would (if your child frequently touches their face and mouth, you might want to keep an eye on this). Remember to choose a sunscreen that's gentle enough for your baby's sensitive skin and always patch test before full application. While sun protection is crucial, don't forget other methods like protective clothing and seeking shade during peak sun hours.
