First off, it goes on lightly. I used to use cushion foundation, but I bought this because I heard liquid foundation has better adherence. I tried it with a primer and honestly... it's beyond words! If you don't prep your skin well, it can slide off or separate in humid or hot weather. You really need to use it with a primer and be careful with the amount you apply. - sc********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessJul 16, 2025
I have dry skin, but over time my nose gets oily, causing my base makeup to fade quickly. This product has excellent coverage, adherence, and staying power. It's really great in every way, but when I use this alone, I start to get small blemishes on my face. It's scary, so I can't bring myself to use it. - yu*********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 15, 2025
As someone who usually only uses cushion foundations out of laziness, this was the most recommended foundation by those around me. It has great coverage and adheres well to the skin. It spreads easily, but sets quickly, so you need to apply it fast. On the plus side, this means it stays put. My skin tone is Neutral 22, but I usually use 21 for other cushions. I chose Warm Light for this one, and it's bright and similar to the usual 21 shades. It's not yellowish at all and matches my skin perfectly. Oh, and the staying power is incredible! I rode a motorcycle through the desert, got hair and sand all over my face, and it still looked flawless. The quick setting time was a bit challenging at first. Since I'm used to cushion foundations, it took some time to adapt to this formula. It might feel a bit dry for some, so mixing it with a more hydrating foundation could work well while still maintaining good longevity. - ll*****Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 3, 2025
The skin coverage is absolutely amazing! I love it. If you do a thorough skincare routine the night before, then the next day apply this product super thinly with a spatula, followed by a quick mist on your puff and gently pat it in - the result is a stunningly beautiful complexion. I haven't found any drawbacks yet. If I discover any later, I'll update my review. For now, it's just all-around great. Use a spatula (I don't have one, so I just use chopsticks) to spread it as thinly as possible. Then immediately dampen your puff with water or a light mist and gently pat it in with a precise technique. It works even better if you've done a good skincare routine the night before - your skin will absorb it beautifully. - qo**********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 2, 2025
I've always had issues with cushions and foundations darkening quickly on my skin. But after watching YouTube reviews where people raved about this foundation's anti-darkening properties and strong recommendations, I decided to give it a try. As someone with cool-toned skin, I opted for the warm tone based on reviews suggesting the cool shade looked dull. I'm so glad I did! It brightened my complexion beautifully, and I finally understood why everyone was singing its praises! While the container may seem small, the amount is perfect for me. The foundation has excellent adherence to the skin too! I highly recommend it. The only downside was that while it gave a beautiful skin finish, the coverage wasn't as high as I expected. Applying with a spatula allows for a thin, even application. You can easily build up coverage in areas where you want more by using the spatula again. - wl**********Dry SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRednessRecommendedJul 1, 2025
If you love a soft, delicate color, I highly recommend this! Even though it's semi-matte, it applies moisturizing and adheres thinly, so the staying power is great. I have dry skin prone to small blemishes, and when I use the About Tone foundation, a few pimples pop up, so I can't use it. Is anyone else experiencing this? I thought I'd found my holy grail foundation, but this is the only one that doesn't suit my skin type. It's such a shame. If you don't have this skin type, you'll probably love using it. For those with combination dehydrated skin or super sensitive skin, it's always a good idea to patch test new products before applying them all over your face. This can help you avoid potential irritation or breakouts. Remember, what works for one person may not work for another, so it's important to find products that suit your unique complexion and skin concerns. - jd********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 30, 2025
Review of About-Turn Foundation I had some small bumps on my skin, not inflamed blemishes, but little granular ones. There were also some slight breakouts on my cheeks, like a mild reaction to makeup. Nothing too severe though. But guess what? I absolutely love it! Haha. I'm quite active and sweat a lot, but the staying power was impressive. I originally had a bit of a skin reaction, and after using this foundation, it seemed to get slightly worse. However, these things can be so different for everyone. You really have to try it yourself to know for sure. - th**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 27, 2025
The coverage is excellent and it adheres well to the skin. It lasts for a long time without breaking down. Unfortunately, I've noticed some blemishes appearing after using this product. - st****Dry SkinRecommendedJun 26, 2025
I have a light cool-toned skin (shade 21), and when I apply this, it looks much whiter than my skin to me, but others say it's not. It gives a nice matte skin finish. Using a spatula to apply just one layer creates a really natural and thin application. For more coverage, you need to apply two or more layers. I saw reviews saying it squirts out when you squeeze it, but if you're careful and press gently, it comes out well. I've never had it squirt on me. As I have dry skin, it felt a bit drier than expected. But if I layer too much skincare underneath, it pills. Now that it's getting warmer, I'll have to try it again. If you squeeze it carefully without any sudden movements, it won't squirt out. I recommend applying it thinly after using concealer. - al**********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 21, 2025
The foundation has a lovely ivory shade that brightens without any yellow undertones. It pairs wonderfully with a damp beauty sponge, making it perfect for frequent use during the summer months. So far, I haven't found any particular drawbacks. It seems that as long as you prep your skin well, this foundation should work great. This foundation offers a beautiful complexion-enhancing effect. Its ivory tone helps even skin tone without adding unwanted yellow hues. The formula works hard to create a natural, radiant finish that's ideal for the warmer seasons. For best results, make sure to layer your skincare properly before application. With good skin prep, this foundation absorbs well and provides a flawless base for your makeup look.
