My skin is super sensitive. Just the slightest facial movement (like frowning or opening my mouth wide to eat) makes the surrounding area turn red. If I scratch it with my fingers, that spot swells up. I have extremely reactive skin that flares up with a single ingredient. If there's an allergen, my face gets so itchy I can't even use the product. While others rave about certain products, they just don't work for me. During my period, my entire face tends to break out badly. After cleansing and applying skincare, I might feel a bit dry at first. But 4-5 hours later, oil starts to appear, and by evening, it's like an oil slick. I have combination dehydrated skin that's really hard to balance. The slightest imbalance leads to blemishes popping up quickly - sometimes even appearing in the evening after being out during the day. For my skincare routine, I aim for a 90% hydration to 10% oil ratio during the day, and 70% hydration to 30% oil in the evening. The good thing about this product is that it's free of granules, so there's no irritation from exfoliating particles. Unfortunately, I don't feel like it removes any excess sebum at all. The cooling sensation is rather unpleasant - it's not a refreshing coolness, but more like an forced, painful chill. It was actually painful to use. Interestingly, it doesn't feel as intensely cool when I'm washing my face. However, I developed hard, painful blemishes on my chin. At first, I thought it was just me, but someone else who used it also experienced painful breakouts. This is definitely a product I won't be using again. As a super sensitive skin sufferer, finding the right skincare products can be challenging. It's crucial to pay attention to how your skin reacts to different ingredients and adjust your routine accordingly. Don't be discouraged if popular products don't work for you - everyone's skin is unique.
