The color is true black, exactly as expected. The tip is thin and brush-like in shape. I thought it wouldn't smudge, but it smears terribly and fades away after just a short while (even without touching my eyes). Maybe it's because I'm clumsy, but I can't draw a smooth line - it comes out bumpy and uneven. As I was using it, I noticed small black clumps that I had to remove, which felt odd. The applied eyeliner had a slightly film-like texture.
