My favorite sunscreen is lightweight and absorbs well. It doesn't sting my eyes or leave a white cast. Plus, it's affordable! I love it so much, there's nothing I dislike! I highly recommend everyone give it a try. Buy it. Buy two! - ad*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 17, 2025
I've been using this product for a while now, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hydrating sunscreen. It's perfect for those seeking a moisturizing sun protection option. However, if you have oily skin, you might find the texture a bit heavy. It may not be the best choice for those with very oily complexions. This sunscreen works hard to provide both UV protection and hydration. It absorbs well into the skin, leaving it feeling moisturized without being sticky. If you have combination dehydrated skin, this could be a great option to help balance your oil and moisture levels while protecting you from the sun. - of****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 16, 2025
This product is truly amazing. I've tried almost every moisturizing sunscreen out there, but they were only hydrating when first applied and would dry out after a few hours. I was starting to think that's just how sunscreens are. Then I discovered this gem - it genuinely stays moisturizing even as time passes. It feels like you've applied a nourishing skincare product. It can make your face look a bit shiny. However, that seems unavoidable if you want to prevent dryness. Here's a tip: Apply a generous amount of sunscreen. That's the key to ensuring its effectiveness. - dl*******Combination SkinRecommendedJul 16, 2025
The sunscreen I've used the longest! Being an essence type, it leaves no white cast and absorbs well. I use it as a base before makeup, and for touch-ups, I use a powder with sun protection. Since it's an essence type, it gives a super dewy look. Finishing with powder or compact foundation works great! The scent isn't particularly pleasant, unfortunately. - jg****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 16, 2025
The hydrating formula glides on smoothly and absorbs quickly, making it perfect for daily use. Despite being an organic sunscreen, it's gentle on the eyes and comfortable to use. There's no white cast, allowing it to blend seamlessly with your complexion. Even with my combination dehydrated skin, it finishes without any stickiness, leaving a fresh feel. It doesn't cause any blemishes, and the generous amount makes it great value for money. I'm using this product with overall satisfaction and don't have any complaints. After your skincare routine, apply a thin layer as the final step. It absorbs naturally without pilling. You can use it under makeup without issues, making it easy to apply even when you're in a rush. - ys****Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedJul 15, 2025
It's moisturizing and gentle, making it a great match for sensitive skin. I was initially worried about white cast since it's a mineral sunscreen, but I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly it applies with almost no white residue. The lightweight and fresh finish means it doesn't cause pilling when applied before makeup. There's no stickiness, and my skin doesn't feel suffocated after application, so I've been using it daily lately. However, those with oily skin might notice a slight increase in oil production in the T-zone. I'd recommend this more for everyday use rather than intense outdoor activities. The 1+1 deal makes it incredibly cost-effective too! May cause some shininess on oily skin types Limited waterproof capabilities Those sensitive to fragrances might find the subtle scent bothersome As someone with oily skin, I found it a bit greasy, so I finished with powder for a matte look after application. - wj*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 15, 2025
I was worried about using this since I have oily skin, but it seems suitable for all skin types! It applies smoothly without irritation, and when used before makeup, it seems to help the makeup adhere well. I don't think there were any major drawbacks. If anything, it might feel a bit rich for oily skin during summer? - kw****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedJul 14, 2025
Incredible value for money! The price is fantastic. Since sunscreen is something you apply daily, it's great to find an affordable option. Plus, it absorbs really well into the skin. It can sting if it gets in your eyes, which is a bit disappointing. - bo*********Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 14, 2025
I've been in love with this sunscreen for years - it's my absolute favorite! Let's be honest, most sunscreens are pretty similar as long as they don't cause blemishes. So what should you consider when choosing one? It's best to think about your usual skincare routine and makeup habits. Cynic's sunscreen has both the pros and cons of organic UV filters: (Moisturizing application but potential eye irritation) However, it has one truly outstanding advantage: ✅✅✅ Absolutely no pilling! I apply sunscreen very generously, which usually causes organic sunscreens to pill. But Cynic's sunscreen doesn't pill at all. It also absorbs well if you let it sit. For reference, here's my profile: 🙋♀️ My skin type: Combination dehydrated skin 😤 My sunscreen application habit: I use A LOT of sunscreen 👉 I apply about two segments of my thumb's worth of sunscreen to just ONE cheek - not the whole face or both cheeks! 👉 Think of it as applying about five finger segments' worth of sunscreen each time. 🔥🔥🔥There aren't many sunscreens that don't pill with this much application. Plus, there aren't many that make your skin look this good, and even fewer at this price point. For someone like me who slathers on sunscreen, there's no reason not to buy it. ✅ The price is reasonable too ✅ It makes your skin look great! I've tried almost every sunscreen out there, but this is my top pick for its price and non-pilling quality. However, I wouldn't recommend it to those with oily or combination dehydrated skin who dislike sticky textures. As it's an organic sunscreen, it can feel a bit sticky and may cause eye irritation. Highly recommended for those with dry skin! The eye irritation is a common drawback of organic sunscreens! That's the only downside. Even when I want to switch to something else, I can't find anything that compares. It's frustrating! This review provides a detailed personal experience with the Cynic sunscreen, highlighting its strengths and potential drawbacks. The reviewer emphasizes the sunscreen's non-pilling quality, which is particularly important for those who apply sunscreen generously. They also mention the product's reasonable price and skin-enhancing effects. However, they caution that it may not be suitable for those with oily or combination dehydrated skin who dislike sticky textures. The review is balanced, acknowledging the common issue of eye irritation associated with organic sunscreens while still maintaining that it's their top choice due to its overall performance. - da*********Combination SkinJul 13, 2025
The ingredients and price are good. That's all there is to it. What else is there to say? It's not that it doesn't suit me, it simply doesn't work. I love Cynic's basic skincare line, but their sunscreen... it's completely ineffective. I have a sun allergy, and this is by far the worst sunscreen I've ever used. Today, even though it's rainy and there's no sun, I know UV rays can still be strong on cloudy days. I applied it twice - once 20 minutes before going out, and again after an hour. This is the result. In reality, my skin is even redder than in the photo. I recommend purchasing a different product that actually works.
