It's full of soft, powdery notes with a unique warm fragrance. It smells like a familiar powdery body emulsion. It's a mineral sunscreen. The white cast is actually fine before makeup, working like a brightening moisturizer. It absorbs well when applied, doesn't dry out the skin, and leaves a lovely glow. You could probably slather it all over your body too! The packaging is so pretty it's like decor on your vanity. I also appreciate that it's sealed with plastic when you first open it, so no worries about leakage. The only disappointing ingredient is the fragrance... While I personally don't mind the scent, those with super sensitive skin might not like it. It's a shame that department stores only promote their main products and didn't advertise this one. I wonder why... It's not bad at all, so why aren't they recommending it? Since it's a large volume, considering the expiration date, you'll either need to apply it generously on your body or have your whole family use it consistently (which is a bit of a downside). I use it as a base before makeup, mixing it with a color corrector. I mix it with a green base to cover redness. The amount shown in the photo is more than enough for the whole face. Additional note: Some might feel it pills, but that's because it forms a film-like layer after squeezing it out of the tube. If you massage it, it spreads well. Think of it like Vaseline in texture. It doesn't explode with oil after absorption like some balm-type products! This might be seen as a drawback, but you shouldn't use too much. Apply a small amount and spread it out... using too much can lead to pilling (but this is true for most cosmetics). Some might find it rich, but as someone with dry skin, I find it fine. It might feel heavy in the peak of summer though.
