I love that it's fragrance-free and can be used as shampoo and body wash. It's vegan-certified too. The bottle is huge - I once used it so much I got bored and ended up using it for cleaning the bathroom! I bought it because all the ingredients looked great. I think I first tried it when it was popular on iHerb, but now I get it directly from Coupang. This is my second purchase, and I'm about halfway through the bottle. 1. Unlike cheap synthetic surfactants from supermarkets, and probably because it doesn't contain silicones, it doesn't lather well and doesn't leave your hair feeling super soft after washing. This could be a good thing, but if you have a robust scalp and don't mind using products with plastic-derived ingredients, you might find this frustrating. 2. If you have any scalp blemishes, I strongly recommend double-checking the ingredients before buying. While the ingredients seem good overall, everyone's skin reacts differently to certain oils, so read the label carefully. I originally had oily skin and my hair would get greasy quickly if I didn't wash it. I've been using this for over 5 months, and since switching, I've experienced what feels like seborrheic dermatitis - excessive dead skin cells, a strong odor on my scalp, and increased oiliness. While dandruff is normal if you don't wash your hair, I started getting large white flakes and a strange, unpleasant odor from my scalp, not just the usual unwashed hair smell. While irregular sleep patterns are likely the main cause, I'm considering trying the Chorok Village Velvet Shampoo featured on Director Pi, as the timing of these issues coincides with switching to this shampoo. If changing shampoos doesn't improve the symptoms, I'll update my review. It's best to wet your hair thoroughly and use this as a pre-wash before your main shampoo.
