As someone with super sensitive skin, I was worried it might not suit me. But by mixing just a few drops instead of applying it all over my face, it's working great! It's a more powerful antioxidant than vitamin C, helping to eliminate hydrogen peroxide. While it's fine when mixed in small amounts, the original color is a bit dark. I mainly use it at night. After application, there's a slight burning sensation for a few seconds. It doesn't pair well with acidic ingredients, so it's not compatible with vitamin C. My skin tends to react badly when I use vitamin C alone, so I've been using EUK-134 as an alternative antioxidant. - be*****Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 17, 2024
The website had detailed explanations about the ingredients and effects, but I can't quite remember them. It's recommended for nighttime use, so I added it to my cream. The next day after application, my skin texture and overall condition improved significantly. There's a noticeable difference between days I use it and days I don't. I plan to keep purchasing this product. It's not widely available in many stores, so I can only buy it from Olive Young or the official Naver store. I wish it was also available on Hwahae. - p_*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedNov 24, 2020
Antioxidant ingredients at an incredibly affordable price! The simple formulation inspires more confidence. The warming sensation makes it scary to use on sensitive days. I'm not sure about its effectiveness, but I hope it at least maintains my skin condition. - mr*******Combination SkinRecommendedMay 11, 2020
The ingredients are simple and the price is affordable. While I'm not sure about the effects on my face, I do notice my fingers feeling tighter when I wash my hands right after application. The absorption is slow - refer to the photo. After applying 5 drops directly on my face and waiting for 30 minutes, it hasn't absorbed and tiny droplets are still clinging to my facial hair. There's a slight warming sensation. The liquid is brown, and right after application, it seems to darken my complexion a bit. Since it's not recommended to use with acid-based products, I use this alone in my morning routine. - dn*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 27, 2019
I love that I can buy this antioxidant product at an affordable price. I'm using it more as a preventative measure rather than expecting dramatic results. The texture isn't particularly light, and it can cause a warming sensation, so you need to be careful with how much you apply. - di*******Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 24, 2018
This is a preliminary review and highly subjective. Since 'objective' reviews are a dime a dozen, I'll focus on discussing the 'user experience'... The ingredient list is simple, almost bare-bones! That long-named ingredient is a synthetic SOD (SUPER OXIDE DISMUTASE, a natural cell antioxidant enzyme). According to the company, it self-regenerates to continuously prevent skin cell oxidation. It's supposed to reduce redness, and I definitely felt like my skin maintained its natural color without any reaction even after being in the sun. So it seems to be doing its job... The issue is that you can't immediately observe the effects of antioxidant products. Antioxidants in a water base are very unstable, so despite claims of perfect pH balance, it loses points just from air exposure. That's why they use propanediol as a base... but the user experience is terrible. Aside from the oily feeling, it simply doesn't absorb well, so you can't use it alone. I usually mix it with Matrixyl from the same line, but the ingredients are very sensitive to acids. If any product you mix it with has 'acid' at the end of an ingredient name, it apparently destroys the formula. So your options for combining products are limited... (If you're planning to use it with Vitamin C in the morning, that's an absolute no-no. You have to choose one or the other. They even say not to use it with The Ordinary's Ferulic Acid, another of their antioxidant products). As mentioned in the actual precautions, it feels warm when applied. It's not something you want to feel in summer, and it leaves you feeling somewhat uncomfortable? It makes you hesitant to use it. In conclusion, the user experience is awful. Really, really awful. Azelaic acid, retinoic acid, ascorbic acid, ferulic acid - you just have to use it alone. But how are we supposed to read all the ingredients every time we use it...? However, I use it because I dislike sun damage even more. If you prioritize user experience, avoid this product.
