When Scalp Med first came out, I was a bit disappointed with the purple/violet bottle. But after ordering a sample and trying it, I absolutely love it! When you squeeze it out, it has these salt-like granules. The texture made me think it would be great for scalp exfoliation, but I wondered if it would lather well. Turns out, it barely foams at all! But since I usually do a double cleanse, I mix it with my regular shampoo. It's so much more convenient than using separate scalp tonics or vinegar-salt solutions, which can be a hassle. It's super easy to use and totally works. It even has a slight cooling effect!
The scent isn't bad, but it's not particularly noteworthy either. It's fine whether it's there or not. I don't find it disappointing, but this is purely for the scalp, so it's best not to expect much in terms of hair texture improvement.
Mixing it with your regular shampoo makes it super convenient. If you have long hair and usually use separate products for your scalp and hair texture, this will be a real time-saver. The price is great too! I think it would work well mixed with the light blue sample for dry scalp that came with it. The product itself is quite versatile.
