Because of this unique texture, it applies smoothly without any heaviness, which I really appreciate. - I was pleasantly surprised that despite its light feel, it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry at all! In the morning, I layered a water-based toner three times and then applied just this emulsion - and it was enough to keep my skin hydrated. Quite unexpected, but in a good way! - Hmm... I noticed it doesn't really help calm my skin when it's acting up. I probably wouldn't reach for this when my skin is irritated, breaking out, or during that time of the month when my skin tends to be more sensitive.
