I've been using this supermarket shampoo for years, and I'm devastated it's being discontinued! As someone with oily hair that gets greasy easily and a hot scalp, this shampoo is a must-have. It's so refreshing and removes oil effectively. When I double cleanse, this Dentrol shampoo is essential for the first wash. Sometimes it can be a bit harsh, so you need to rinse it out quickly. As someone with an oily scalp, I find the cleansing effectiveness really good! The menthol ingredient makes it feel refreshing, which is great for summer use. I've been using it for a long time because it doesn't cause any scalp issues or dandruff. I wish the formula was a bit gentler, as it contains many potentially irritating ingredients. I bought this for my son, but when I tried it myself, I was impressed! It has a refreshing feel, lathers up nicely, and even with permed hair, it leaves it feeling silky smooth. The price is a bit steeper than I expected. However, after rinsing, my scalp feels incredibly refreshed! If I had to point out some positives, it's not when you're applying it, but when drying your hair, you feel a unique minty coolness. It also lathers well and is affordable. Despite that, the reason I never want to use it again is because I got three blemishes on my scalp after using this, and they were huge ones too... It hurts so much when touched. I'm really frustrated. I've tried many shampoos recently, but getting blemishes deep in the scalp and along the hairline like this... It's just... This product clearly doesn't suit me. The powerful menthol effect makes it refreshingly cool for summer use. The price is also reasonable. It's just okay for oily scalps. For those with oily hair, Dentrol Deep Clean is a better alternative.
