However, when I want a more defined look, I occasionally use a black pencil. Lately, I've been using this eyeshadow as a substitute. It's great for smudging over eyeliner too. If you're using it as an eyeshadow, it would be perfect for a smoky eye look. The color is so intense that it can be overwhelming to use as an eyeshadow on its own. For those like me who don't suit heavy makeup, its only use is as an eyeliner substitute. Back in my youth when I was all about that smoky eye look, applying this before and after the pencil seemed to make everything look more natural and stylish. Oh, smoky makeup doesn't suit me anymore. That's a shame. I still crave that smoky eye look sometimes.
