I have oily skin that lacks hydration. I thought an oil balm wouldn't suit me, but this one applies smoothly and makes my skin feel silky. It's especially great for moisturizing in winter. When I apply it on my face and neck before bed during these dry days, my skin looks better the next morning. Plus, I love that it's not sticky at all. The scent is somewhat herbal, which might be hit or miss for some people. Personally, I didn't mind it. Being an oil balm, I don't reach for it much in summer, but I use it a lot during winter. It absorbs well, leaving my skin feeling hydrated. I'm satisfied and currently using it. Due to the humid season, it's best to apply this only on dry patches of skin.

This product did an excellent job at tackling dry skin. After applying my serum, I dabbed a bit of this on the particularly parched areas! If you're hesitant about using products with high oil content, this might be challenging for you. This product comes in a balm form with oils! I usually prefer jojoba oil, so I was worried about trying an oil with manuka and olive, which I've never used before. Fortunately, my skin didn't react negatively. Being a balm type, it felt more moisturizing than liquid oils. As I also have dry body skin, I found that applying a small amount of this product works better than body oil! However, I think this product would be even more effective in winter rather than summer. For a balm-type product to be convenient, it should melt easily, but this one doesn't seem to do that. When you try to melt it, instead of smoothly dissolving in your hands, it forms clumps and melts unevenly. So, it's better to melt small amounts at a time. It's suitable for any dry areas on your face or body! While it doesn't make a huge difference now in summer, I think it'll be much more useful come winter. True to its name as an oil balm, it provided excellent hydration. Ingredients Heavy products like oils or oil balms can easily cause blemishes if not used correctly, but this oil balm must have good ingredients because I never experienced any irritation or breakouts while using it. I think those with super sensitive skin will be satisfied with this aspect. Quantity Usually, these oil balm products come in small sizes and are expensive, but while this product is a bit pricey, I was surprised by how large the quantity was. It seems like it'll last me all through the upcoming winter! Scent Personally, I wasn't a fan of the smell - it reminds me of Burt's Bees lip balm. It's not overpowering, so it doesn't interfere much when applying, but if I keep the lid open for too long, the scent becomes noticeable, so I tend to use it quickly and close the lid. Oiliness Of course, being an oil balm, it's expected to be rich, but since it's summer now, it feels a bit heavier. However, for my dry skin, this will actually be an advantage in winter. Packaging The jar-type container is a bit inconvenient, and while there's a handy partition for storing the spatula, it tends to roll around when I carry it, which is annoying. At first, I thought a multi-stick balm might be more convenient, but considering that stick balms can be a bit firmer in texture like a solid glue, this jar-type container seems better for gentle application on sensitive areas. It wasn't difficult to maintain either, as you can place the spatula on the plastic lid after use. As for hydration, it's beyond words - it leaves a comfortably moisturizing and transparent film without feeling heavy. I think it would be great for those with dry skin to finish their skincare routine with this oil balm, keeping skin hydrated without any dryness. Since it's easy to control the amount, even I, with my combination dehydrated skin, found it suitable for use during this changing season without feeling too rich. I'm really pleased with it. The scent was a bit disappointing as it has that distinctive beeswax smell. I usually prefer unscented products, and this beeswax fragrance might feel a bit overwhelming to some.
