When my skin was inflamed and became super sensitive, I applied this and it didn't cause any irritation, which was fantastic. My skin had become rough due to frequent outings, but after gently exfoliating and applying this before bed, my skin feels baby-soft the next morning. I had severe skin inflammation around my mouth due to wearing masks, but I used this along with medication. Even after stopping the medication, I continued using this consistently and the inflammation cleared up quickly!
ConsThe scent is quite strong, I must say. It feels like my face has an odor. The texture is like an ointment, but it's not runny - it's very thick when applied. The shelf life is quite short.
TipIf you mix this with a water-based hydrating cream, your skin becomes super moisturized, as if you've just done a mask treatment.

If you're looking for a very rich, thick cream, I'd highly recommend this. I mix it with a lighter cream for use. While the scent is a bit off-putting and it can feel a bit heavy, the moisturizing benefits make up for it. It might even be good for problem skin!
ConsThe scent is really not great. It's best to think of it as an unscented ointment when applying.

(For reference, Bepanthen is beyond rich - it's sticky.) Scent: Unscented or just the natural scent of the ingredients. Price: Affordable, but since it needs to be ordered from overseas in Korea, it might cost over $10 with shipping. Great for skincare when you're feeling dry, as it's very rich. I have extremely dry skin and use it year-round as a powerful moisturizer! Like Bepanthen, which I use all over my face instead of cream when my skin is super sensitive and dry, Linola Fett can be applied at the cream step for long-lasting hydration. It's gentle enough for sensitive or eczema-prone skin, providing moisture without stinging even when skin is very dry. Interestingly, while Bepanthen sometimes causes a pimple or two (maybe due to its intense moisturizing), Linola Fett hasn't given me any issues so far. It's slightly less sticky than Bepanthen but feels more oily. On hot days, the oil layer might separate... Both Linola and Bepanthen leave your face looking shiny after application. Those with oily skin might feel suffocated and want to wash it off. In conclusion, it provides gentle yet powerful hydration for dry patches or persistently red and dry skin! Highly recommended for those who find applying Vaseline all over their face too heavy.
ConsThe natural scent of the ingredients isn't particularly pleasant. You have to sacrifice spreadability for moisture - it's very difficult to apply. On hot days, the oil layer might separate from the base formula. While mixing it back together (either in the product or on your hands) works fine, it's visually unappealing.
TipIt's easiest to apply by taking some product in your palm, rubbing it between your hands, then gently pressing it onto your face.

The doctor diagnosed it as contact dermatitis. Applying prescribed ointments only provided temporary relief, and the cycle of flare-ups seemed endless. Then, I stumbled upon this product on a blog! It looked like an ointment, but wasn't quite one - more like a rich, hydration-focused cream. Amazingly, after using it for a week, my dermatitis disappeared! It's now become my go-to product for fall, winter, and spring seasons.
ConsWhile it comes in a tube like an ointment, you can't cut it open to use every last bit. The tube is frustratingly hard, just like a medicine container, which feels wasteful. I ended up buying a jar version from overseas, but that was too large. I wish they'd reconsider the packaging. Also, while the scent isn't unpleasant, it has a medicinal smell. I was surprised to learn it contains fragrance - I'd prefer if they removed it altogether.
TipYou can use this as an alternative to Vaseline! Its rich texture is quite similar to petroleum jelly.

I started using it while also taking acne medication, and it seemed like my blemishes were improving. I've used about 4/5 of it now. After stopping the acne meds, though, my blemishes are making a comeback... Sadly, I've realized this cream doesn't suit me. It's heartbreaking, but I'm back to searching for the right cream. The bumpiness is gone, but now I'm dealing with inflamed spots!
ConsIt's way too rich! If you have bangs, they'll stick to your forehead! Your face will feel as greasy as if you've just eaten pork belly! The scent isn't great either... What is that smell anyway?

I'm so pleased!
ConsThe scent is too strong, but I'll still use it. The thick texture becomes more intense when it cools down.
TipUse it warm, folks! It's great for deep dryness, so... anyway, it's good!

I stopped using it after a few applications. However, when I ran out of my usual moisturizer, I reluctantly started using this again. I applied a thin layer morning and night for a week. Surprisingly, the more I used it, the more I loved it! The tiny bumps on my jawline that I was so concerned about started to disappear. It's amazing... I'm definitely going to keep using this from now on!
ConsThe downside was that I didn't really like the scent, and the texture was a bit too thick for my liking. There were also some particles in it. It smooths out fine when you spread it, but the initial feeling was a bit off-putting.

For those who still experience itching even with Physiogel, please read this. I wholeheartedly recommend it in bold letters. It's so incredibly good that I can hardly believe it, so I'm writing this review right away. First, let me give you some background. In my early 20s, I battled oily skin and cystic acne. By my mid-20s, it shifted to combination skin with closed comedones. I've always been at war with skin blemishes. I thought I had it under control, but just when I was experiencing the best skin of my life, contact dermatitis struck. Since childhood, I've dealt with various skin issues like eczema, allergies, atopic dermatitis, and seborrheic dermatitis. But I'd never experienced contact dermatitis, especially confined to just my face. My skin became tough, unbearably itchy, and red and swollen. Even applying products with good ingredients didn't solve the itching, and it just kept getting worse. I had never taken oral steroids before, no matter how severe my skin conditions were. But this time, I took them for over a month. The itching subsided, but the dryness became unimaginably severe. When I stopped the medication and topical treatments, the itching would start again. It felt like the steroid medications had completely stripped my skin of its ability to regenerate and restore itself. Recently, due to prolonged scratching and steroid use, my facial skin became thin like plastic wrap, with fine lines appearing everywhere. Those with skin conditions will understand - when your skin is dry and wrinkled, you feel compelled to apply something for hydration, but everything you apply makes it even itchier. It's a vicious cycle. Products that had never caused issues before - Physiogel AI Cream, Physiogel Original Cream, Illiyoon Cream, cold-pressed coconut oil, Borpirin - all made me itch. The only thing that didn't cause itching was IOPE Cica Cream, but it was so drying that I feared it would worsen my wrinkles, so I cancelled my repurchase. I couldn't understand why these products with such good ingredients were making me itchier. After some research, I discovered: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ [Reasons for Physiogel side effects] - Possible reaction to Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (plant-based fatty acids, usually derived from coconut) - Potential reaction to ceramides [Solution] - If plant-based fatty acids don't suit you, try mineral oil-based moisturizers like Cetaphil or Vaseline (mineral oil or petrolatum). Surprisingly, they don't stress out pores as much as you might think. I came to Hwahae to read reviews about Avène Cicalfate, a mineral oil-based regenerating cream, when I stumbled upon a golden review. Someone had completely cured their contact dermatitis with this cream, even though Cicalfate hadn't worked for them. The ingredients weren't the 'clean' formulation I usually look for, but I had nothing to lose, so I bought it immediately. It's only been 4 days, but the effects are incredible. My skin, which had become thin like plastic wrap with fine lines and was covered in dead skin cells, has almost returned to normal. I can use it with almost no itching. If it does get itchy occasionally, I either reapply or use a bit of prescription cream underneath. I'm so grateful for that review - I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't found it. Thanks to Hwahae reviews, my skin has been saved! I'll keep updating if I achieve complete healing or notice any other changes with continued use. -------[Summary]---------------- The key points are twofold: 1. Creating a moisturizing barrier with oils for skin that has completely lost its regenerative ability. 2. Using a regenerating cream in addition to minimize discoloration and scarring. If plant-based oils don't work for you, try mineral-based ones, or vice versa. ----[Quick Summary]----------- Itchy with Physiogel? This product could be your path to healing!
ConsFragrance?!? Is this really supposed to be an added fragrance? It smells like 'industrial oil'. I can't believe how strange and strong this scent is. It's so potent that if you apply it with your hands, you can't eat with them afterwards. Other than that, it looks extremely oily. Only recommended for those with dry skin or contact dermatitis! Oh, and absolutely do not apply it around your eyes! I have contact dermatitis on my eyelids too, so I tried applying it there. It caused severe swelling and redness, and the oil got into my eyes, making them tear up and become even itchier!
Tip[Other things I've tried that were effective] - IOPE Cica Cream for regenerating reddened skin - Cooling stick (it's crucial to minimize facial heat - I would hold it against my cheeks when they felt hot) - Humidifier (dryness is our enemy) - For cleansing, only water rinses multiple times in the morning. In the evening, I use a bubble maker to create a very dilute cleanser foam - For removing makeup, I completely eliminated oil cleansing. Instead, I gently wipe with Bioderma on a cotton pad

When I wake up the next morning after applying it, my skin looks incredibly healthy. My complexion has a beautiful glow, and I'm really impressed with the results.
ConsIf used too frequently, it feels like it might cause some small bumps. Also, the scent is really, really strange - it's like a petroleum smell that's quite overpowering. It's tolerable if you apply just a small amount.
TipIf you have oily skin, use only a tiny amount. Applying too much can make your skin feel greasy.

ConsThe scent is just... They say it's unscented, but I almost wish it had a fragrance.
TipIt's great when mixed with other emulsions - absorbs well without feeling sticky.
