It's difficult to expect it to resolve dryness. It does have a soothing effect, but more than that, you may be disappointed. However, with consistent use, there is a certain level of satisfaction.

If you want to use hyaluronic acid, give it a try. It's originally a non-irritating product, but this one is great to use when your skin is sensitive. Even when my skin was so sensitive that I couldn't use anything, this product was comfortable to use.
You can find many places that sell it for skin care use as well. As you use it comfortably, it gets absorbed quickly, so I recommend getting the large size.

I use the Laneige essence like a cream. It's not sticky and feels moisturizing.

There doesn't seem to be a noticeable, dramatic change. At first, it feels like there's an effect, but after using it consistently, I'm not sure. However, I can tell when I switch to a different skincare product.

I have sensitive skin that can get irritated easily, but the Laneige products definitely don't cause any issues. They absorb well and have a lightweight feel. I'm not sure if they have a huge effect, but my skin has been consistently healthy, so I've been using just these products for a few years.

It's too drying to use on its own. Unless you have very oily to extremely oily skin, this alone would be difficult to use.

It's so gentle! Even though I have sensitive skin, there was no irritation at all~ I have sensitive and combination skin.
I bought it to provide moisture, but it absorbed and disappeared so quickly after application. It's not like the usual moisture essence or lotion I'm used to. It absorbs like water and vanishes.

This is a oily and sensitive skin with dehydration issues. 
Furthermore, my skin gets itchy and breaks out immediately whenever I use a product that doesn't quite agree with it. 
The hyaluronic acid serum seems gentle so far. It didn't feel uncomfortable on my skin at first, and continued use has reduced the tightness and oiliness. It doesn't feel sticky even in the summer - great!
