When I apply it before bed, it even has a soothing effect on my acne-prone areas.
ConsThe shade is a bit dark and it feels slightly oily. I have combination skin.
TipMixing it with a snow BB cream helps brighten the complexion.

With my sensitive and thin skin, it immediately calms any redness after application, giving a natural, barely-there look rather than a made-up appearance. I only need to apply a small amount. While I don't typically get acne, I occasionally get blisters around my mouth before my period. Instead of touching them, I just apply this Shu Uemura product to soothe them. Among all the brightening moisturizers I've tried, this is undoubtedly the best. It's truly the pioneer in the world of brightening moisturizers.
ConsThose with oily skin might want to avoid this. Even though I have dry skin, it makes my nose area look shiny in the summer.
TipWhen mixed with a vitamin cream and applied, it gives you a youthful glow. It creates that coveted 'Inner Glow' look.

I have severe redness, so I use it mainly to cover that. While the coverage isn't high, I'm satisfied with the results.
ConsIt's on the pricier side, and you need to buy it from overseas to get it a bit cheaper.
TipApplying it with your hands rather than using a puff or sponge seems to be gentler on the skin and causes less irritation.

I use shade 21, and the classic version matches my skin tone perfectly.
ConsAfter application, I noticed it felt a bit rich on my skin. If you're not a fan of products that feel oily, you might want to consider this.

I find myself using concealer less often! 2. I love how it naturally brightens my complexion. 3. It smooths out blemishes and uneven areas, making my skin look flawless. 4. It's so hydrating. My skin feels moisturized. 5. I feel like it's helping to calm my blemishes. (Just my personal impression)
Cons1. It feels slightly heavy on the skin. 2. The scent is a bit... well, you know. 3. It feels a bit rich when first applied. (But it settles nicely after a while!)
TipFor a truly radiant complexion, apply a thin layer of sunscreen before using this product. If you have dry skin, resist the urge to blot off the initial richness with oil-absorbing sheets - you might regret it later!

Since I started using it, I haven't had a single breakout. In fact, it helps calm existing blemishes and soothes my skin. Apparently, it's even recommended by dermatologists. It's not too rich, and after a while, your complexion returns to its natural tone.
ConsPerhaps because my skin tone goes back to normal, people can't tell I'm wearing makeup.

But let me tell you about this gem! The day after getting acne treatment at the dermatologist, when your face is still red and not quite settled? Instead of foundation, just apply this! It's amazing how it conceals redness and makes your troubled skin look polished. I swear it works wonders for calming inflammatory blemishes too. Highly recommend!
ConsThe downside is it's a bit pricey and only available at duty-free shops. Also, the muddy color might be off-putting for those with very fair skin. However, it does blend in better after a while on the skin.
TipDuring that time of the month when acne tends to flare up, I mix a small amount with my foundation. It gives me this feeling that it might just prevent those pesky blemishes from popping up.

It wasn't just oily skin with blemishes, but my skin was also super sensitive. When I first started using this, I thought I'd give it a month's try. Surprisingly, it had a soothing effect when my skin was irritated and even calmed inflammatory acne. The color is a bit grayish, but I've been using it for over two years now because I haven't found anything that works as well. I highly recommend this to those with sensitive, acne-prone skin.
ConsThe characteristic grayish tint of the BB cream is a bit disappointing. Also, nowadays many BB compacts make touch-ups easy, but with this one, it's not so simple to reapply.
TipIt feels a bit pricey to buy at regular price, so I always purchase it at duty-free shops when traveling abroad. It's not available in offline duty-free stores, only online. And I believe one airline - either Korean Air or Asiana - sells Allex in their in-flight duty-free, while the other sells Schrammek. For those with blemishes, using this BB cream along with Ducray's acne-specific concealer works perfectly. That's my personal beauty tip!

It's considered the original BB cream. Long before beauty-focused BB creams flooded the market, I started using this one because it was recommended at skincare clinics for helping with regeneration and recovery after treatments. I was initially worried about the dull color, but even though I have fair skin, it blends naturally when applied. Schrammek offers a lighter shade of the same product, but I find it looks unnatural on me, so I stick with the classic. Once, when my skin was so sensitive that even water stung, this was the only product I could use without irritation. It actually helped my skin regenerate, with dead skin cells forming and peeling off the next day. I plan to use this BB cream for life. I'm not using it for coverage or skin perfecting, but for its acne-fighting and regenerative properties, and I'm very satisfied. When applied to acne, it calms inflammation and makes extraction easier. After extraction, it definitely speeds up skin cell turnover and regeneration. Despite my thin and sensitive skin, I've fortunately been able to use this without any blemishes.
ConsI hadn't paid much attention to the ingredients before, but looking at them here, there are quite a few potentially problematic ones. While I didn't experience any issues, those with super sensitive skin might want to try a sample first before purchasing.

When acne became a concern, a friend recommended this product, and it really worked wonders for me! I've been repurchasing it for over 5 years now. Whenever I can, I stock up at duty-free shops.
ConsI recommended it to another friend with oily skin, but it doesn't seem to suit that skin type. Also, the scent is a bit off-putting, and apart from duty-free shops, there aren't many reliable places to purchase it.
