  I started using Clinique products for the first time when I was really struggling with severe cystic acne that was even worse than during my late 20s teenage years. Using the entire acne line along with the Laser Focus Essence, alternating it with the Brightening Essence, I was able to clear up my acne without even having to visit a dermatologist. There are also no major acne scars left behind, which I attribute to this essence. It has truly been a lifesaver of a product.

  The formula is a bit thick and creamy. If you use too much, it can feel a bit heavy and greasy.

  I was a bit overzealous and applied the essence very thickly all over my face. To prevent it from feeling too heavy and greasy, I tried to pat it in gently instead of rubbing it.   As soon as I apply it, it peels off like a stain. I absolutely cannot use it before makeup, and even at night, when I apply this and then a moisturizer, it peels off and feels uncomfortable.
