ProsIn Japan, what we commonly call 'skin' in Korea is often referred to as 'emulsion'. Currently, Rohto Pharmaceutical offers a moisturizing skin product as <Medicinal> Clear Emulsion (lotion). Though I haven't used it for long, the scent isn't irritating, and unlike regular toners, it doesn't feel sticky. Instead, it leaves a hydrated yet fresh feeling! I think it would suit most skin types well. True to the Acnes line, this toner contains ingredients like isopropylmethylphenol, which is excellent for inflammatory blemishes. It also includes AHA, which is great for exfoliating dead skin cells! As someone who has tried everything from Rohto's Acnes Creamy Wash to these emulsions, I've seen remarkable effects on emerging blemishes, inflammatory acne, and stress or hormone-related breakouts. The next day, they usually subside without any irritation. It's truly the best!
ConsDue to cosmetics regulations set by the food and drug administration, it seems they don't sell this in Korea, which is unfortunate as it makes it a bit difficult to obtain.
TipIt's called a 'ふきとり' (fuki-tori) emulsion, so they say using it with a cotton pad as an exfoliating toner is good for removing dead skin cells and hydrating. However, you can also just apply it directly with your hands.
