The scent and application are pleasant. The price gives a sense of confidence in its effectiveness. Not recommended for dry skin. It feels tight after application, and applying more leads to pilling. I've been using Estée Lauder's Perfectionist for about 6 months now. It's the famous purple bottle. I had been consistently using the brown bottle, but this year I started using the purple one alongside it. While it's said to help with wrinkle improvement, I'm not sure about any dramatic effects, but I love how it's hydrating and absorbs well. Every time I apply it, my skin feels incredibly soft. I only use it in my evening routine. The price is quite steep, and I'm not entirely sure if the results justify the cost. You can get it a bit cheaper at duty-free shops. Wrinkles: Rather than actually reducing wrinkles, it creates an optical illusion. When applied, it immediately makes wrinkles less noticeable. Matte finish: Both a pro and a con. Upon application, it instantly gives the skin a matte, refined appearance. Ingredients: The formulation is so underwhelming that I wouldn't reach for it as part of my nighttime routine. Matte finish: You'll need to apply it carefully during dry seasons. I found it works best when used strategically like a primer, either before or after makeup. For me, applying it after completing my skincare routine yielded the best results.

Your skin looks better immediately after applying it. I'm not sure if it actually reduces wrinkles, but it seems to have a good preventive effect. Surprisingly, there wasn't a single positive thing to say. That's why I'm writing this review! In nearly 30 years of using cosmetics, I've never had my skin react this badly! Not even once! I'm usually complimented on my good skin and only really focus on moisturizing. But on my mother's recommendation, I tried this product just once, and it was a disaster. My entire face - eyes, nose, everything - swelled up dramatically. I could barely open my eyes! At the hospital, they suspected an allergic reaction (though I have no food allergies). I'm writing this review to warn others who might have similar allergies. Please, please get a sample first! Don't suffer like I did. After years of using only the brown bottle, I happened to try a sample and immediately loved the fresh, matte feeling after use, so I decided to buy it. I'm currently halfway through the bottle, and the soft, powdery finish is absolutely fantastic. The texture is wonderful. It applies silky smooth, which I absolutely love. While this feeling is new to me, it doesn't leave my skin dry. After application, it's as if my skin is coated - almost like wearing a primer? The effects aren't dramatic, but I feel like my fine lines are gradually becoming less noticeable. I suppose the main drawback would be the price. It doesn't seem to offer the best value for money.
