Back then, my dermatologist recommended Physiogel, which was only available at hospitals. I used it for 10 years straight. The only reason I switched was because I'd been using the same product for so long, not because it was bad. In those 10 years, I never had any blemishes from this emulsion - that's how good it is. For those with super sensitive skin, Physiogel is a reliable choice. These days, there are many options available, but sometimes the tried-and-true is best. Among Physiogel products, this one is suitable for anyone with dry skin.
ConsThe emulsion might feel a bit too rich when applied to the face. However, it's great for extremely dry skin! On the other hand, it's not ideal for those with oily skin. After they expanded their product line, I tried some of the new versions, but my skin reacted badly. That made me wonder if they had changed the ingredients, so I stopped using Physiogel altogether.
TipPlease recommend something similar to this!

They say it has ingredients similar to our skin. It's free from harmful substances.
ConsThe coconut oil and shea butter made my skin too shiny and greasy. It clogged my pores and caused blemishes. It was also quite expensive - I regret not buying a different product for this price.

I really love that the texture is light and not heavy. It used to be sold only at dermatology clinics, but now I can buy it online. Plus, you get a generous amount!
ConsThe formula is quite runny, so a lot comes out at once. That's the only downside. While it's rich in oils, I wish it had a bit more moisture content.
TipThis emulsion is all you need for summer. Highly recommended for those with dry skin!

ConsIt felt like it wasn't absorbing into the skin and just sat on the surface. At that time, my skin was oily, and I thought this product was too rich

ConsIt's so rich in oils that it's difficult to apply before makeup

The fact that I didn't have to shake it before use? Can't think of much else.
ConsIt was way too rich and the scent wasn't pleasant. Didn't see any improvement with my blemishes either.

ConsIt feels a bit too rich for summer use, leaving a slightly greasy sensation.

It's similar to simple skincare lines with just the essential ingredients. It's great for mixing with vitamin powders or oils, and it doesn't clash with other products layered on top. I've been using it for two years without any adverse reactions, which is a plus. The texture is light but slightly rich. If you have oily skin, just apply a small amount after cleansing. (For combination dehydrated or dry skin types, I'd recommend the Physiogel cream instead of this emulsion.) Personally, I like the scent (it's unscented, but some people find it off-putting). If you enjoy the scents of tea tree, jojoba, tamanu, or Burt's Bees Rescue products, you'll probably like this too.
ConsWhile it has a rich feel, the watery texture can leave dry or very dehydrated skin feeling tight. Even if you use a light toner before this emulsion, your face might still feel dry. I recommend using a more hydrating toner before applying this, or mixing in 1-2 drops of facial oil (I usually mixed it with jojoba oil).
TipIf you find Physiogel products expensive, keep an eye out for sales on social shopping apps. They sometimes have better deals than buying directly overseas. If your skin feels dry using this product, try pairing it with a hydrating toner or mixing in some facial oil. If that doesn't work, you might want to switch to the Physiogel cream instead.

ConsIt's quite rich, which works well for me, but might not be suitable for those with oily skin

It's gentle on the skin and supposedly helps build the skin barrier, so I'm diligently applying it.
ConsIn summer, it can make my skin a bit oily, which is manageable, but it's also sticky, so I've been using it less frequently.
