This CC cream is my first, and it's a whole new world - I'm totally satisfied. While I can't compare it to other CC creams, it's definitely lighter than BB creams and foundations. It feels much fresher than the stuffiness of sunscreen, the suffocating feel of foundation, or the sticky richness of BB creams. The absorption isn't exactly fresh. The texture is heavy, thick, and a bit stiff. Not recommended for those who prefer smooth, fluid formulas. I've seen reviews mentioning it's either drying or gives an intense glow, but I didn't experience either. I have an incredibly oily T-zone that gets shiny 6 hours after makeup application, and a dry U-zone chin where makeup always flakes off. This CC cream didn't cause either of those issues. For me, at least, it provides just the right amount of hydration!
1. The formula is thick and heavy. This hinders how well it absorbs. If you don't apply it carefully, it's difficult to spread evenly on the skin. 2. Both a pro and a con: it looks very natural. Don't expect it to make you look radiant or porcelain-like, especially if you already have a fairly bright complexion. I have a very dull, unattractive cool-toned skin. It's not just yellow, but a dark, ashy green-gray tone. Awful, I know! Based on my skin, regular BB creams often looked too light and unnatural. This product, however, only brightens my skin by about half a shade. It evens out the skin tone and brightens just slightly. If you already have bright skin, expect only a tone-evening effect. 3. Don't expect much coverage.
Pro tip: If you have an average complexion, don't bother buying this. Only get it if you're like me - cursed with dull skin and combination dehydrated skin that finds even BB creams too heavy.
