  Pros

  1. Light, flowing essence Unlike the thick formulas of ginseng masks I've tried from other drugstore brands, this one surprisingly had a light, flowing essence. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I prefer this type of essence, so it's the biggest plus for me. 2. Adheres well and absorbs easily The essence has a light texture, and the mask sheet adheres well to the skin. The material is the same as regular drugstore mask sheets, not gel. Still, it absorbs into the skin quite easily. 3. Somewhat alleviates dryness As my skin was getting rough with the changing seasons, I tried this ginseng mask. It did help to some extent with the dryness. While it doesn't make your skin super hydrated, it does the job. If you have dry skin, you might find the hydration lacking! 4. Mask given as a freebie I got this mask when I bought a cushion from Tony Moly. They give it as a gratis when you spend over a certain amount. It was nice to be able to try it without paying. 5. Didn't cause blemishes I came to Hwahae to write a review after using the mask and was shocked when I saw the ingredients. Despite the not-so-great ingredient list, fortunately, it didn't cause any blemishes. 6. Less of that typical ginseng mask scent Other drugstore ginseng masks often have an artificial ginseng scent, as if they're trying to emphasize the ginseng content. This product barely has that. However, the ingredients aren't great, haha!

  1. Ingredients Oh my goodness! The ingredients are really not good. I knew mask pack ingredients weren't great, but this one has so many problematic ones. I won't be buying this with my own money, haha! 2. Not enough essence Even 1000 won mask packs usually come with plenty of essence, but this mask didn't have that much.

  Tip

  Rather than for hydration, it might be better to use this for soothing by cooling it in the fridge, especially in summer or winter (when your skin is suffering from heater exposure).
