The compact size of the BB cream container makes it convenient to carry around. It washes off easily with water. Photo 1: Immediately after applying BB cream Photo 2: After using a damp puff Photo 3: After removing BB cream and applying another brand's compact This BB cream hits the trifecta of caking, clumping, and pilling. At first, I thought it might be my skincare routine, but even after completely changing my base products, it still emphasized dead skin cells, clogged pores, and accentuated wrinkles. It doesn't apply smoothly at all. After application, it clumps so badly that it makes my skin look dirty. On the same day, I had a bad experience with La Roche-Posay BB cream. I washed my face with just water and immediately applied a different compact, and my skin looked completely fine. This led me to conclude that the problem lies with this product itself. It's baffling how it can make my skin look dirtier than when I'm bare-faced. If at least the ingredients were good, it might be somewhat redeemable, but that's not the case either. Photo 1 shows the applied state, but it actually looks better in the photo due to the camera effect. In reality, it's all clumped up and patchy. It's weak against water. I tried applying it with a damp puff as recommended, but to my surprise, the BB cream, which washes off easily with water, just came right off. As you can see in photo 2, it turns white. It emulsifies and simply washes away when it comes into contact with water. It oxidizes, and the severe clumping combined with the darkening makes my skin look dirty. As for oiliness, I spent all day applying this BB cream, using a puff with minimal water, patting and patting, smoothing out clumps, but it still produced as much oil as other cosmetics. The product fails to meet expectations in multiple aspects. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 30, 2018
It doesn't cause blemishes on sensitive skin. People either really love it or really hate it. If this touches water, it disappears from that area. It's the worst when you cry. If you apply a moisturizer, hydrating product, or mist, it completely wipes off. It pills and doesn't absorb well. I'm not the only one; a friend who uses this says the same thing. It's just sitting in a drawer unused. People who don't use many skincare products say it works well for them. It causes significant darkening and has poor staying power. Can't believe I paid money for this! If you use a sponge, the BB cream color that transfers to it is just a grayish tint. It seems you should only use it after applying toner. Shade 1 appears to be about shade 23, not very light. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 1, 2017
I was using the Udevia tinted sunscreen, but I needed more coverage, so I made an additional purchase. I bought shade 3 in pink. Applying the Udevia tinted sunscreen as a base all over the face, and then just lightly covering the cheeks, chin, forehead, and nose area with the BB cream gives a truly perfect result.... The tinted sunscreen + BB cream combination is the best! The longevity is not that great. Especially when I just wore the BB cream alone, I had to retouch my makeup in the afternoon. And the color range is not very diverse... I remember being surprised at first when I applied shade 3, as it made my face look a bit uneven. Also, if you don't have the right application technique for using it alone, it can get patchy! And if you're looking for coverage, you'll be disappointed. Use the Udevia tinted sunscreen together. Using it alone is hmm... You need to pat it on with your hands to prevent it from getting patchy. Please keep this in mind. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinDec 31, 2016
I've tried various foundations because of my acne, but they were still okay as they didn't cause any breakouts and made my skin look brighter. When I apply it with a puff, it sometimes streaks. That's probably because it has low oil content. If I apply a moisturizing cream beforehand, it blends in well. Applying it with your hands seems to be the best method. I personally don't like getting it on my hands, so I use a sponge applicator instead. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinDec 25, 2016
There's no other brand I trust as much as La Roche-Posay...it just keeps piling on! How is everyone applying this? Am I the only one struggling with it? I've tried it multiple times, but this is the first time I've experienced such piling. Even when I use the La Roche line and apply cicapair, or use the La Roche moisturizer, it still pills and feels thick, so it just keeps piling up 😭 The Physiogel was the best among them. Even regular cosmetics pill on me 😭 - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 27, 2015
To be honest, I'm not sure what the good points were, other than the fact that I bought it on sale. It just sits there and doesn't get absorbed. Even with most organic products, I can get them to absorb pretty well after using them for a while, but this one is just terrible. Be sure to test it out.
