  As someone with oily skin but lacking deep hydration, the combination of this essence with other moisturizing toners was perfect for me. After being a skincare nomad, I settled on this product and used it for over two years. It's an excellent product with a refreshing finish and absolutely no oily residue.

  Cons

  I strongly advise against this for those who don't have oily skin. I expect it might cause significant deep dryness for you.

  Pros

  For me, it's truly an essence in every sense. It has a clean emulsion feel. Even when I apply a lot, it somehow absorbs into the skin. I plan to finish the bottle, but I won't be repurchasing.

  Cons

  It feels a bit tight on the skin, perhaps due to lack of oil. This essence needs to be paired with a rich cream.

  Pros

  I'm a woman in my mid-20s now. From 19 to my early 20s, I lived with cystic acne and whiteheads. I tried everything said to be good for acne - herbal medicine, extraction treatments, acupuncture, dermatologists, diet control - but the effects were always temporary. I thought hormones and stress were 90% responsible for acne, but this product made me realize I'd been using incompatible cosmetics all along. My skin is combination dehydrated - dry inside, oily outside - but heavy skincare products, even if they're super hydrating, ended up causing blemishes. This product: 1. Gives an instant cooling effect when applied. 2. Feels fresh enough for oily skin types. 3. Doesn't leave a greasy film - it's elastic and adheres well to the skin. 4. Has a jelly-like texture. 5. Calms the skin noticeably within 30 minutes of application (may vary for different people). 6. Soothes redness, flushing, and areas where I've extracted blemishes the night before - by the next day, everything's calmed down. 7. I store it in the fridge, which enhances its natural cooling effect. Most importantly, after switching to this product for my basic skincare, I went from being called 'acne-prone' to receiving compliments on my complexion! The attached photos show my skin's improvement process using the Fresh Essence that works for me.

  Cons

  There's nothing particularly bad! It might be a bit drying for those with dry skin. But then again, it's designed as a line for oily skin types.

  Tip

  I use the Green Tea Fresh Skin as a toner substitute, wiping off my makeup with it before applying the Fresh Essence, or I use COSRX Pimple Pads to cleanse before applying the essence. This combination works really well for me. In winter or when my skin feels particularly dry, I apply the Green Tea Fresh Cream (which has a clear, gel-like texture) after the essence, and it eliminates any feeling of dryness!

  Pros

  I've used about 8 bottles of this product and I'm still using it consistently! As someone with oily skin, I prefer lightweight skincare, and I love that this isn't greasy. Even with my sensitive skin, this product worked well for me!

  In winter, I experience some deep dryness, so I tend to apply emulsions or hydrating creams generously.

  This essence is a product I've been using consistently, now on my third bottle! As part of the 'Fresh' line targeted for oily skin types, it has almost no rich feeling. I love how it provides ample hydration, moisturizing the skin from deep within. The subtle green tea scent is also quite pleasant. ⭐️ No oiliness / Not sticky ⭐️ Provides just the right amount of hydration from within ⭐️ Recommended for normal / oily / combination skin types ⭐️ Subtle green tea fragrance

  Honestly, I didn't find any downsides for me personally. But if I had to point out something, true to its 'Fresh' line name, it might be a bit drying for those with dry skin types. 💧 May be drying for those with dry skin (Look for a different line if you have dry skin)

  Tip

  I use this essence after prepping my skin with the toner from the same line, applied generously with a cotton pad. For better absorption, I recommend applying it in circular motions following your skin's texture.

  It's not sticky, perfect for oily skin! It doesn't leave a greasy shine. It's just a decent, no-fuss product.

  My blemishes went crazy with this. I have combination dehydrated skin and this doesn't work for me at all. The deep dryness is severe and I only got more breakouts. I ended up switching to something else.

  I have oily skin that lacks hydration. This product has a gel-like texture and leaves a fresh finish. It seems to have a slight cooling effect, and the scent is pleasant too.

  Cons

  At first, I used it with the Fresh Line toner, but when I used this alone, my skin felt tight. Although it's supposed to be a hydrating and sebum-controlling essence, it seems a bit lacking in the hydration department.

  Tip

  So now I'm only applying this product on my neck, and I'm using the Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum on my face. For those experiencing tightness with this essence, I'd recommend trying that serum. It seems to work well.

  Pros

  It feels just like a hydrating moisturizer. The absorption is absolutely fantastic, and it sinks in so well that I almost wondered if it would provide enough hydration! The scent is pleasantly neutral too.

  Cons

  I mentioned in the pros that it's like a moisturizer, but typically you can scoop out moisturizers generously from jars. With this one, the price makes that a bit daunting. For winter, using this line alone wasn't enough. While my combination dehydrated nose was fine, my dry cheeks and chin felt too parched. My forehead, prone to small blemishes, also felt tight and dry when using just these products. That's why I've switched to something else now. The amount is small, and personally, I wouldn't recommend it for those with dry skin!

  I think it would work well when used alongside other products with good hydrating properties.
