It's so hydrating and gives a feeling of deep nourishment that I now apply it even on no-makeup days. It works as a daily moisturizer and a light sunscreen alternative. I love Bobbi Brown's signature packaging too. The quantity is generous, so even with daily use, a small amount covers the entire face, making it last quite a while.
ConsThe price? There's not really anything to complain about... Still, you can get it for under $100 at duty-free shops.

I always use it before makeup, especially in winter. Although it's pricey, I only need a small amount, so it lasts quite a long time.
ConsThere's nothing particularly bad about it. If you apply the right amount, it's the best cream out there.
TipTake a tiny amount and warm it between your fingers. Apply it to areas prone to dead skin cells, gently pressing it into the skin to help it absorb. (If you apply too much or spread it like a regular cream, it might pill!)

But after trying this oil and cream at a department store, I was amazed at how well my makeup applied. I decided to purchase it despite the high price, but it lasts a long time. When I apply it before foundation, it definitely keeps my skin hydrated longer and prevents my makeup from looking patchy. I'm using it without any issues and would recommend it.
ConsI haven't experienced any particular blemishes with this product, and it seems to suit my skin well. I'm still using it happily. However, I wouldn't really recommend it for those with oily skin.

Except for summer, I've been applying it regularly, with one container lasting about a year and a half. Due to its SPF, I only use it during the day, and a small amount is enough to achieve that coveted Inner Glow look, which is why it lasts so long. I haven't exceeded the expiration date. What initially drew me to this product was seeing a store model apply this moisture balm, then spread a tiny amount of foundation so it was barely noticeable, followed by blush and shading. Surprisingly, the powder products that I thought would look cakey melted into the balm, joining forces to create that luminous skin effect. At that time, it was rare to see cream blushes melted into the skin, and it was my first time seeing powder products used like watercolors. The innovative approach impressed me enough to make the purchase. Naturally, it applies smoothly. Unless you're putting it on extremely dry skin without any base products, it melts into the skin upon application and absorbs well. One day, feeling lazy and having heard that fewer skincare steps can be beneficial, I applied only a watery toner followed by this moisture balm before bed. To my surprise, my skin looked no different than when I used a full routine of toner, emulsion, essence, and moisturizer. It made me realize I should streamline my skincare routine. While my skin doesn't typically break out or develop hives, it can become sensitive, resulting in small bumps and redness due to thin skin. This product, however, caused no irritation in terms of fragrance or texture. It's gentle and kept my skin hydrated. I think it would work well even for those with super sensitive skin. However, if you have oily skin with large pores, I wouldn't recommend using this with heavy makeup. True to its 'moisture' name, it provides an explosion of hydration, but you can also feel a slight richness that seems to lock in the moisture. While it creates a glowing (not greasy) complexion, I worry it might cause pilling or clog pores if used with multiple layers of makeup. As a balm, it's not a lightweight moisturizer. When applied, you can feel a layer of hydration coating your skin. I once heard a dermatologist say that one way to protect against fine dust is to apply thin layers of cream multiple times to prevent it from penetrating the pores. Using this balm with sunscreen and makeup should make it difficult for fine dust to reach your pores. As for the scent, isn't unscented better than artificial fragrance? This product has no detectable smell, at least to my nose. It's particularly useful when undergoing skin treatments or maintenance, as you can't wear heavy makeup anyway. Applying it daily provides sun protection and acts as a protective barrier - killing two birds with one stone. Above all, it balances oil and moisture, making it indispensable for winter makeup. It's not just about hydration or oil control - balance is key.
ConsI'm genuinely curious - are there any moisturizers that keep your skin hydrated all day long, just like when you first apply them? This product maintains moisture for almost half a day or until I get off work when my skin is in good condition. However, when my skin becomes sensitive due to stress or overtime work, the effects don't last as long. While it's natural for results to vary depending on skin type, it's somewhat disappointing that it sometimes feels like it's just sitting on the surface and dries quickly.
TipI've never experienced blemishes from this product. However, when I used it with a thick sunscreen, it would eventually pill up like dirt. Switching to a runny, hydrating sun essence solved this issue. For makeup over this moisture balm, a light foundation or cushion compact works perfectly.

The fragrance is pleasant too.
ConsI have super sensitive skin and I used to use Bobbi Brown's moisturizer instead of sunscreen. However, I noticed that my cheeks kept developing redness and allergic reactions. I switched to Elo Elo, which helped a bit, but my cheeks were still itchy in the evening. At first, I thought it was a pollen allergy and continued using it. When I switched to La Roche-Posay sunscreen, the issues cleared up. Comparing the ingredients of the three products, I realized La Roche-Posay has milder ingredients. Bobbi Brown and Elo Elo share many common allergens. It seems I need to use gentler products. Those with sensitive skin should be cautious. Honestly, I'm not sure if it really helps makeup adhere better as claimed. While the scent is nice, it's too strong. My cheeks feel a burning sensation... I can't believe I've been using this for a year, thinking it was due to something I ate or another allergy.

ConsThe price is quite steep... But on the bright side, it didn't cause any blemishes.

I've been using it for three winters now. Although it's pricey, a little goes a long way, so it lasts a long time.
ConsThe price is quite steep. It's a bit heavy for use outside of winter, but there's too much product to use just for one season. It would be better if they offered a smaller size at a lower price.
TipSince it's a balm, you need to warm it up before use. When you rub it between your palms, it absorbs completely with nothing left over. If you apply it by rubbing it between your fingertips, you can transfer all of it to your face without waste.

I can't survive a single winter day without it! It keeps my skin hydrated, gives it a lovely glow, and lasts for ages. One purchase goes a long way!
ConsI'd recommend avoiding the eye area when applying this. It consistently stings for me. While some people seem fine with it, I might just have super sensitive skin. When I apply it near my eyes, they feel irritated all day long. I think small amounts might be getting into my eyes, unfortunately.

While many products cause blemishes after using a couple of bottles, I've been using this for nearly 10 years. It's especially great in winter, but I use it in summer too. In winter, you can apply it generously without pilling, and in summer, a little goes a long way without feeling sticky. Another advantage is that you don't need to apply a separate sunscreen, which is fantastic! The price might seem a bit steep, but it's worth it. Since I only use it in the morning (due to its high SPF), it lasts longer than you'd expect. I typically use one jar for 10-12 months.
ConsI didn't have any issues while using it, but after getting pregnant and downloading the Hwahae app, I stopped using it. I had no idea it contained so many potentially harmful ingredients. It was a product I really loved... I'm torn about whether to use it again after giving birth.
TipMake sure to melt it thoroughly with your fingertips before applying. The effect is completely different compared to when it's not fully melted. If you don't melt it properly and apply BB or CC cream over it, it will pill.

Especially great that I didn't need to apply additional sunscreen, so I used it all year round. Being in a jar form, it lasts a long time. I can't seem to find a better day cream - I'm actually sad it's almost finished!
ConsThe price is quite shocking, to be honest. When you're in a rush, taking the time to let it absorb might feel a bit inconvenient.
TipInstead of melting it in your hands, it's easier to spread a thin layer and then gently cup your face with your palms, transferring a bit of warmth!
