The product suggests using it alone as a hydrating primer before foundation or BB cream, or mixing it with other products. Since I don't wear much makeup, I blended it with my sunscreen. Even when used alone, it provides a slight (albeit minimal) coverage for minor scars and pores, similar to applying a moisturizer. This is because hydration naturally helps to somewhat conceal these imperfections. When mixed with sunscreen, I noticed a slight increase in coverage due to the sunscreen's white cast. While it may not meet everyone's expectations, I was quite satisfied with the results.
ConsI was curious about why the ingredients were considered risky, and upon closer inspection, it seems the issue lies with the preservatives - either parabens or similar compounds - possibly used to stabilize the other ingredients. While I'm sure they adhere to safety standards, this product isn't an irreplaceable primer, so there's no compelling reason to continue using it. It came as a small sample with my I'M FROM moisturizer purchase. On the flip side, the need for multiple preservatives could indicate the presence of many delicate ingredients. For those interested in mixing with hyaluronic acid, I'M FROM sells a 100% hyaluronic acid product separately. Volume 2 appears to have slightly safer ingredients, possibly due to its oil-based formulation which is less prone to spoilage.
