My ex-boyfriend gifted me this product (in winter). I didn't really feel it was better than the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturizer I was already using... The packaging was also a bit inconvenient. This product's main feature is supposed to be soothing for sensitive skin, but since I don't have sensitive skin, there wasn't much to soothe... When friends came over, I'd give them this instead of what I was using. While this might sound like a drawback, I think it was just a product that didn't suit me personally. I'm currently using this product for my sensitive, redness-prone, blemish-prone, and deeply dehydrated skin. It contains centella asiatica, which is said to help with blemishes. I'm also using it with a calendula toner, and my skin texture has improved significantly. My makeup applies beautifully too! While you might need to layer a cream on top in winter, I think this essence and skin salve combo could be enough for summer use with just a toner. The cap is a bit small compared to the tube body, making it slightly inconvenient to open and close. While it works well for my skin, I'm a bit uneasy about the paraben content. Those with dry skin might need to use this with a cream. After application, if you gently press it into your skin or pat it to absorb, it doesn't feel sticky at all and feels great!
