It doesn't cause blemishes, and even when applied generously, it absorbs well into the skin. It leaves a dry feeling on the skin. It's hard to tell how much product is left in the container. After it absorbs, I apply another layer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 14, 2017
This product is so amazing that words can't do it justice. I have slightly dry and sensitive skin with acne, and my milia was incredibly severe - I could've been counted among those with the worst cases here. But after using this product, I said goodbye to milia, and within a week, I could feel my skin becoming more hydrated and improved. While it's great to use the set, using products separately works fine too. It's truly a holy grail product. Though not many people know about it yet, I think it could be a huge hit if it gets more exposure. I really want to recommend this to anyone unsure about which toner and emulsion to buy. It suits all skin types and gives you that plump, hydrated feeling. Wherever I go, this remains my holy grail product. It's quite expensive. Also, the toner runs out too quickly. Apart from these, there are no downsides. Personally, I think the effects justify the price. For example, I believe it's on par with VDL's Hydro Cream and doesn't fall short in any aspect. It might be a bit drying in winter, so if you have dry skin, I recommend using it along with a cream. - gr*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinJul 28, 2016
I started using this because of my seborrheic dermatitis. After using the soap, toner, and emulsion, my skin began to clear up, so I even got my nephew to try it. My nephew, who's currently in military service, had acne-prone skin. A few months after he started using it, we went out for a meal together, and I noticed his tall stature (185cm maybe?) was complemented by his now clear complexion. His inherent good looks really shone through with the improved skin! Seeing the effects on myself, I also got my older brother to buy it. We're now on our second or third set. You can find my review on the website too! It might feel a bit tight on the skin in winter, so use it with a cream. Unfortunately, the Bebe Nom cream didn't suit me for some reason, which is disappointing. After applying the toner, I also use a natural aloe product. My routine goes: toner > aloe > emulsion. In summer, these three products are sufficient for me. - pi*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 23, 2016
As someone with extremely sensitive and acne-prone skin, I find this product incredibly hydrating. In summer, just applying this skin emulsion feels light enough. At first, I thought the scent was a bit unusual, but I got used to it with continued use. It has a thin consistency. I tried a cheaper natural skincare product once due to the price, but I came right back to this one. The price is a bit steep, so I stock up during buy-one-get-one-free promotions. I was a bit surprised to find some not-so-great ingredients, but I continue using it since I haven't experienced any particular discomfort. Just two pumps are enough for a good application. I think it's best to purchase it as a set during promotional events. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 25, 2015
I'm currently using the soap, skin emulsion, honey-something nourishing cream, ampoule pack, and shampoo from this line. The skin emulsion absorbs well, and while there's some deep dryness at first, it gets better with continued use. During summer days, I only use the skin emulsion followed by sunscreen and CC cream. At night, I apply the skin emulsion and honey nourishing cream, which leaves my skin hydrated by morning. My skin type is sensitive and dry (not oily), and I'm in my 40s. I've tried many department store brands, but nothing compares to Hwahae! At first, Hwahae products might make your skin feel tight, making you consider stopping use, but with consistent application, you'll start to notice the benefits. In winter, using only the skin emulsion can lead to severe dryness. The honey nourishing cream is definitely necessary! - Hwahae UserOily SkinApr 21, 2015
I have combination dehydrated skin with oily tendencies, but no blemishes. I bought the soap, toner, and emulsion set from Shingiseok when it was 40% off. The good thing is that it doesn't cause any blemishes and seems to reduce surface oiliness. First off, the soap is incredibly drying. It's my first time using a natural soap, so I'm not sure if this is normal. The toner and emulsion are also very drying. After using them, my combination dehydrated skin with oily tendencies has now turned into extremely dry skin. - tt*****Normal SkinMar 19, 2015
This cosmetic is perfect for my sensitive skin, without causing any blemishes Is there a larger size available? I'm using it now, but it seems to run out quickly, perhaps because I use a lot - de*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 15, 2015
I used this without any blemishes, which is great! It's not sticky at all, and being natural, there's no irritation. It absorbs well too. Highly recommended! The price point is a bit on the higher side, which can be a bit of a burden. It's just perfect for applying as part of your basic skincare routine both morning and night. Since it's not sticky, it's okay to use anytime. - ja*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 10, 2015
As someone with combination skin prone to frequent blemishes and super sensitive skin, I tried the Shin Ki Seok soap and skin lotion set. Surprisingly, almost all of my blemishes disappeared. The products don't leave any oily residue, which is perfect for my combination skin. There's no greasy feeling, and I'm really pleased with the results. For those with sensitive skin, caution may be needed when using the soap. I have combination, sensitive, and delicate skin, and even though I cleanse twice a day, if I rub the soap for too long, my skin feels quite irritated and there's a tingling sensation. As long as you're careful about that and cleanse gently, it seems to be good for blemishes and beneficial overall. - c9***Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 28, 2015
While it's on the pricier side, the generous amount makes up for it. The herbal scent is uplifting when applying, and using it right before bed seems to aid sleep. It feels incredibly refreshing and cool on the skin, like you're applying oxygen to your face. I've been using it consistently, and it's gentle on the skin with no irritation. The best part is that it's natural, free from chemical ingredients. There aren't really any downsides, but if I had to mention one, it might be that it's a bit drying if used alone. However, this isn't much of an issue since I use a hydrating moisturizer. The packaging is attractive and user-friendly. If the price were a bit more affordable, I'd give it 5 stars, but considering others might find it expensive, I'm rating it 4 stars. I'm using it with a skin emulsion, but the emulsion alone can be a bit drying. It would be great to pair it with a hydrating moisturizer or nourishing cream for better results.
