  Pros

  This product is a real gem! I thought it wouldn't be very effective, so I sprayed it liberally. Turns out, it has decent hold. If you spray it on a comb and run it through your bangs after using a curling iron, it helps reduce flyaways. Plus, it smells great!

  Cons

  The spray nozzle tends to break easily. And I've already lost the cap.

  Pros

  Once sprayed, it has excellent hold until you wet it thoroughly, and it rinses off easily, showing outstanding cleansing effectiveness.

  Cons

  Rather than a drawback specific to Paul Mitchell, if there's any downside, it's the characteristic of liquid sprays in general - they don't set instantly upon application.

  Tip

  To overcome the limitations of liquid sprays, I sprayed some into my hands first to style from the inside (it sets quickly), then lightly misted the outer layers. It sets rapidly and works great.

  While it shows the drawbacks of liquid formulas, it seems to work well for those with thick, coarse hair. The setting power is excellent when sprayed and dried with a hairdryer. It's particularly good for those with perms who want to style using just a pure spray.

  Cons

  A product I deeply regretted buying, considering its reputation. For those with thin hair or a tendency to curl, the particles can form droplets on fine hairs, preventing proper styling. It can also clump thin hair, causing it to become matted or limp. Surprisingly, using this product effectively requires considerable skill. You must use a hairdryer for proper setting. Spraying too much without thinking can make your hair look wet and matted. Not recommended for those with fine hair. It's unsuitable as a finishing touch after pomade styling, as it can make hair excessively shiny and heavy. Plus, it's a disaster if you sweat in summer.

  Tip

  Spray it in the air from a distance and let the mist settle naturally on your hair. If you use it like a regular aerosol spray, you'll end up needing to wash your hair again!

  Pros

  I started using this after a recommendation, and I'm impressed. It has excellent cleansing effectiveness, sets makeup beautifully, and provides a subtle glow. I frequently use setting sprays, and this product has become my go-to.

  Cons

  The scent is quite polarizing. Personally, I'm not a fan, but I continue using it because everything else about the product is so great. Surprisingly, the Hwahae ingredient analysis isn't favorable either.

  The setting power, which is crucial for a hair spray, is excellent. However, since it's a liquid formula, it doesn't set quickly. To prevent your style from drooping or getting ruined while it sets, you'll need to master the technique of using a hair dryer on low heat from a distance to speed up the setting process. On the flip side, the slower setting time allows you to make some style adjustments before it fully sets, which can be seen as an advantage. The cleansing effectiveness is also quite good. Generally, one shampoo is sufficient, with a second wash needed only on days when you've applied a lot of product.

  Cons

  If you apply too much, it can create excessive shine. To achieve perfect hold, you need to use quite a bit, which can make your hair look overly glossy. This is arguably its biggest drawback. Those who apply a small amount from a distance might achieve a healthy-looking finish, but if you're aiming for strong hold, the shine can be a bit bothersome. Being a liquid spray, it doesn't penetrate well to the roots. You might find that while the outer layer is firmly set, the inner layers can collapse. Additionally, like other liquid sprays, nozzle clogging can be an issue. While it's easily fixed by rinsing with warm water, it can be frustrating when you're in a hurry.

  Tip

  Make sure to close the cap immediately after use. Leaving the cap open can cause the product to dry out and clog the nozzle. Ideally, after each use, you should detach the nozzle part, wash it in hot water, and then store it. If the shine bothers you, try layering your styling products. First, apply a matte aerosol spray with decent hold, then lightly layer this spray on areas that need extra hold (like bangs or curled sections). This technique will give you both excellent hold and a balanced shine.

  The spray covers a wide area effectively, and its setting power is incredibly strong and long-lasting. Among all the sprays I've tried, this one has the least clumping and is so natural that others can't even tell you've used it. It's a product I always buy in bulk when I go to the States.

  I'm relieved it's not a gas spray, so I feel safe using it. It washes off easily, which is reassuring. The hold is also excellent.
