It feels light and moisturizing, similar to aloe gel, with a soothing effect! Unfortunately, there's a slightly sticky feeling immediately after application - sa********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 29, 2023
Perfect for soothing... It calms the skin mysteriously right after application. I usually don't get along well with aloe, but this one seems okay? The amount is a bit small, but I like it. There's nothing particularly disappointing, but since it's mainly focused on hydration, I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin. If you want to use this, it might be good to layer an oil-based product on top. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedAug 3, 2021
It's so lightweight! Perfect for summer application. It's lightweight, but that means it can leave your skin feeling dry deep down if you use it when your skin is already parched. - my********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 1, 2020
Even with my extremely sensitive, seborrheic, and folliculitis-prone skin, this doesn't cause any blemishes. It feels light and keeps my skin hydrated. While it works well on my T-zone, the moisturizing effect is a bit lacking for my U-zone, so I apply something else there. It's great for the T-zone, or it's perfect for summer use. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 25, 2020
It's lightweight and easy to use. The texture absorbs well. The scent is pleasant. I think the hyaluronic acid didn't agree with my skin. It made my skin itchy. Not much else to add... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 3, 2018
* Folliculitis with acne / Combination skin After going round and round in circles, I've finally settled on a skincare routine. It took until my mid-thirties to find my holy grail. It's been a long journey. With blemish-prone skin, I couldn't even dream of 'functional' or 'brightening' products. Nevertheless, being a slave to marketing, I always tried them, and always regretted it. After years of no improvement, I was so exhausted that I realized skin just needs the basics. Yes, whether it's fashion or skincare, the basics are indeed the hardest to master. Then I discovered Sebamed Care Gel, which soothes the skin with minimal ingredients, free from incompatible chemicals or natural components. When you just want to stick to the 'basics', unless you make it yourself, I wonder how many products exist worldwide that contain only the essentials without various allergens. With no fancy features, just a pH of 5.5, made with minimal allergy-excluding ingredients, I'm endlessly grateful for Sebamed. When my skin was at its worst, this product felt lacking in hydration and richness, causing tightness and pain. Now, even in autumn, the Care Gel feels moisturizing. The version sold domestically has very different ingredients. I purchase the Sebamed USA version from iHerb. I wish the same formulation was available in our country. Basic routine for really bad skin condition: Sebamed Care Gel + 100% Squalane Oil. (If you use the wrong cleanser and cream, it ruins everything, Care Gel included. I believe cleansing is the starting point, the root of all skincare. When skin is really bad, not using any skincare might be best for recovery, but that's not always possible.) Basic routine when skin improves a bit: Paula's Choice 8% AHA Gel + Sebamed Care Gel + Urea Cream or 100% Squalane Oil * Once a week, 40% Mandelic Acid for 10 minutes * Sulfur ointment for spot treatment - pa******Normal SkinRecommendedMay 11, 2018
Ladies, we all know those pesky blemishes tend to pop up around that magical time of the month, right? Here's my little secret: after cleansing and applying toner at night, I dab this on top. I focus on the areas prone to breakouts. The next morning, those would-be pimples have calmed down and are barely visible, while the larger ones that were already there have noticeably settled! It really works wonders for me! The texture is similar to aloe gel. Instead of rubbing it in, I just dot it on the problem areas and head to bed without touching my face again. There's not much to complain about, really. I'm using a sample size, and it's convenient since I only apply it when blemishes appear. However, if you're thinking of using this as your sole skincare product for acne-prone areas instead of your regular toner, keep in mind that it might be a bit drying on its own. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinDec 13, 2017
The hydration is excellent, and I've seen great results when dealing with blemishes. I haven't found any particular drawbacks yet. The price seems reasonable too. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinNov 20, 2017
I received this as a sample and tried it out - it's great! I have acne-prone skin, but with proper care, I only get breakouts during hormonal fluctuations. When I use this during those times, it helps calm my blemishes, albeit slowly but effectively. Amazingly, after using it for a few days, I noticed my skin becoming smoother and softer each morning. The hydration level is a bit ambiguous. It's not quite enough on its own during winter. So sometimes I apply toner before using this, but usually I'm too lazy for that. I typically just cleanse, pat my face dry, apply this, and then follow with a moisturizer. Despite this, it's still good. - lo*********Normal SkinSensitive SkinJun 27, 2017
I tried a few samples they sent me. The gel-type formula has a slight cooling effect when applied and absorbs well into the skin. Hmm... if I had to point out the good things, I'd say it's just the cooling effect and how well it absorbs. They say it's good for acne, but I don't have any, so I just applied it here and there and even on my sibling. Unfortunately, we couldn't really see any noticeable effects...
