The Hwahae Testers Review First, please note that my skin type is dry and sensitive, and my body skin is similarly dry and prone to itching and irritation when it becomes dehydrated. As a Hwahae Tester, I promise to provide an honest review without exaggeration or false information. Application: Being an oil, it applies more smoothly than other body emulsions. However, it's even better to apply it when the skin is slightly damp after patting dry with a towel, rather than on completely dry skin. Scent: I was initially concerned when I saw it was called 'Peach Baby', as I don't usually prefer fruit-scented cosmetics. I typically go for unscented products or those with a subtle, clean scent. However, I applied for this product after reading a review comparing its scent to that of MUJI or Jaju stores. After using it myself, I can confirm this description! It has a sophisticated aroma reminiscent of a furniture boutique. True to its name, there's a hint of peach, but it's more like a mature peach tree with leaves rather than a bright, fresh peach scent. Moisturizing Effect: As mentioned, I have naturally dry skin that can become itchy and irritated. I usually use both body oil and emulsion, but after applying this Dermaby Moisture Oil, I didn't need to use an additional emulsion! It even helped soften the keratosis pilaris on my arms and thighs. What surprised me most was how the skin feels firm after application. Unlike other oils that just sit on the surface, this one absorbs well, quickly hydrating the skin. Value for Money: At 15,000 won for 200ml, I would definitely consider purchasing this again. It's not too expensive considering it's an oil and you don't need to use a lot. Ingredients: As someone with sensitive skin, I always check the ingredients carefully. This product only contains fragrance from the 20 caution ingredients and no common allergens, which is reassuring. I also appreciate that it doesn't contain mineral oil and uses natural oils high up in the ingredient list.
If I had to point out a downside, it would be the polarizing scent, which might not appeal to everyone. It can also feel a bit slippery after the first couple of applications. If it were unscented, it might appeal to a wider audience. My boyfriend also mentioned that the scent was too strong. The slipperiness is unavoidable with oils, but you can manage it by controlling the amount you use.
Apply the oil when your skin is slightly damp, and for areas that need extra moisture like elbows or knees, consider using a multi-balm or body emulsion in addition to the oil. This can help even dry and sensitive skin become more comfortable and hydrated.
