I love the tea tree scent, so I mix in a drop with my skincare. It's great for calming blemishes too. The tea tree oil is quite potent, so be careful not to apply too much as it can irritate the skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 17, 2019
A refreshing scent and an oil that absorbs as lightly as a toner! It's great for calming blemishes and also works well as an aromatherapy oil for massages. This product works hard on multiple fronts! While there's nothing particularly bad, it's worth noting that it's a bit slow in calming blemishes. It feels rich when applied before makeup, but it's perfect for nighttime use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 26, 2018
This product has been a lifesaver when my skin is acting up. The more I use it, the more I feel my blemishes calming down, which is fantastic. I'm not a big fan of the tea tree scent, but I'm pushing through and using it anyway because it's working wonders for my skin. Pro tip: Mix it with Aveda shampoo for an incredibly refreshing scalp sensation! - so*****Oily SkinApr 12, 2017
It helps calm blemishes???? Other than that, not much to say........ I didn't know it contained allergens and applied it all over my face, which caused a terrible reaction....... It's really, really awful... - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 19, 2017
Since I had so many blemishes on my face, I mixed it with an emulsion and applied it. It seemed to provide decent hydration! Why discontinue it... I'm not sure why it's coming back now, but when I tried to buy it duty-free in late December 2016, they said it was discontinued, so I ended up purchasing it at the Yeouido branch. As you all probably know... For those with just a few pimples, you can dab it directly on the spots. If you have more widespread acne, it's good to mix it with an emulsion or add a drop or two during the final step of cleansing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 16, 2017
At first, I mixed a small amount with my emulsion when applying. But I didn't see much improvement in my skin, just a strong scent... (the smell might be hit or miss). Then one day, I randomly tried wiping it on with a cotton pad, and wow, it was a total game-changer! My blemishes gradually faded, and the ones that had surfaced started to subside. I was so moved by the results...! Well, the scent is quite strong. But isn't that typical for tea tree oil? For those who, like me, didn't see much effect initially, try applying it with a cotton pad. I used to do this daily, but now I'm doing it every other day. It works so well, I'm absolutely thrilled! - sa*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 14, 2016
The generous amount allows for blending with other skincare products and offers versatile uses. I blended it with my skincare products yesterday. Woke up this morning and was horrified when I looked in the mirror. Tiny blemishes had popped up everywhere, and my skin was all red and inflamed. Ugh, how long will it take for this to calm down? It's so stressful! Just one use and my skin went haywire. Those with super sensitive skin might want to avoid applying this all over their face. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 10, 2016
During middle and high school, I never had acne, but when I started college, my cheeks suddenly erupted. I tried every spot treatment out there. (Personally, Dr. Jart products were a disaster for me - just one use and my skin went haywire....) I tried everything - dermatologists, sebum suppressants, diet changes - you name it. After all that, I realized that skincare basics are pretty much the same, and even expensive, high-quality products would only work for a few years before my skin reverted. I found that spot treatments were the least damaging for me. Honestly, products from dermatologists work best, but I bought Aveda's tea tree oil with a 'nothing to lose' attitude because it has minimal side effects and can even be used as a bath additive. My method is to apply 1-2 drops on a cotton swab when I feel a blemish coming on. It doesn't make the blemish disappear, but it does calm it down and prevent it from getting bigger. It seems to shorten the lifespan of existing blemishes too. When applied after extracting a blemish, it appears to reduce scarring and speed up healing. I've given up on preventing blemishes entirely, but I'm grateful if I can just minimize scarring. That's why I continue to use this product. Because it's an oil, it can wreak havoc on your makeup in the morning or during touch-ups... Just lightly dab it with a cotton swab on trouble spots. Unfortunately, you can only use it at night before bed. After extracting a blemish, immediately apply ice to the area or massage it, then use a cotton pad dampened with water and 1-2 drops of the oil to wipe the area. This helps reduce redness quickly and minimizes discoloration. - le******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessSep 7, 2016
The quantity is so generous that I'm hesitant to repurchase - I still have plenty left! When I get blemishes or pimples, I feel compelled to apply this rather than anything else. It can also be mixed with emulsions for application. I've bought the entire series - peppermint, lavender, and citrus. Well, oil is oil... I can't really think of any drawbacks. Isn't it just a matter of having one for each specific use? - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinAug 24, 2016
After using 100% tea tree oil, this felt gentler on my skin However, it's not as effective as the pure 100% oil
