I heard jojoba oil is great for acne-prone skin! I have sensitive skin and usually don't get along well with oil-based products, so I've been hesitant to try it. But I finally bought some from Hwahae, and let me tell you - I'm absolutely thrilled with it! First, let me share my conclusions: 1. It quickly calms my sensitive skin. Apparently, jojoba oil contains antibacterial and soothing ingredients. My skincare routine goes: toner, acne wipes (from Olive Young), serum, gel ointment (CellFusion C), emulsion (Torriden), and then jojoba oil. Actually, I found all these holy grail products through Hwahae! Thanks to this routine, my acne has calmed down significantly, but this oil really seems to tackle those pesky little blemishes and scars. 2. It absorbs well into the skin. Being acne-prone, I'm usually wary of overly oily textures. But when I apply just a drop or two of this jojoba oil and spread it over my entire face, it doesn't feel greasy at all. It absorbs completely without leaving any oily residue. 3. Great for hydration + versatile uses After applying my emulsion and then this oil, it feels like it creates a protective layer, sealing in the moisture. My skin doesn't feel tight all day, which is wonderful. It even seems to give my skin a nice glow! I've also found it works great on dry areas like my heels and elbows.
The oil tends to drip around the bottle opening when I use it. To avoid this, I have to hold the bottle at a 90-degree angle, quickly drop some oil, and immediately close the cap. Even then, there's still some oil residue around the opening. It's a bit inconvenient!
I also use it to remove dead skin cells! I put a bit of oil on a cotton swab and gently wipe around my nose area. I'm attaching before and after photos of my right cheek. The 'before' shows acne scars and bumpy texture, while the 'after' shows how much it has calmed down. These are unfiltered photos taken with my regular camera!
