I want to let you know that I used this exclusively for blackhead removal. Skin type: Sensitive combination dehydrated skin Nose condition: My nose was very oily with blackheads packed tightly together. I was even called 'strawberry nose' because of this. (Optional TMI) Before discovering this jojoba oil, I tried almost every cleansing oil said to be good for blackheads (apricot kernel oil, A-True, etc.) However, the blackheads weren't coming out, and they seemed to be increasing... Then I saw a post on Hwahae about oils good for blackheads, and jojoba oil was mentioned a lot. I thought it might be similar, so I decided to give it a try... And then... If you look at the progress photos below, you can see the blackheads coming out day by day... After each use, I could see them getting lighter, so I got excited and rubbed a lot. At first, while the amount wasn't huge, the blackheads were deeply embedded and very noticeable. But in the second photo, you can see they've lightened considerably, and you can even see the pores where blackheads have come out. I was really surprised at this point... Looking at the day 16 photo, they've lightened and shrunk so much that you can barely see them unless you look closely... By day 20, almost all of them are gone. Now, I'll share my own (?) method with you! It's a combination of tips I've seen here and there, so I hope it helps! 1. Apply a thin layer of aloe soothing gel to your nose and wait until it's almost dry and forms a film, giving a tight feeling. 2. Generously apply jojoba oil to your nose (don't be stingy, using too little won't be as effective). 3. [Most important] Using your fingers, massage from the outside of your nose inwards with moderate pressure (I'll attach a photo to make this clearer). 4. Repeat step 3 for about 5 minutes. 5. Apply another generous layer of jojoba oil. 6. Repeat step 3 for another 5 minutes. 7. Wash off the oil with a foam cleanser. 8. Use toner on a cotton pad and wipe outwards from your nose. At first, I only massaged for 5 minutes, but when I added another layer of oil and massaged for 5 more minutes, I saw twice the results! Even if it seems tedious, you can do it while watching TV and it'll be over before you know it!
There's really nothing to complain about... I've seen other people say they got blemishes when the jojoba oil touched their skin, but I didn't experience anything like that.
I think I've shared all my tips above!
