The jar-type container is really disappointing. It's so difficult to carry around, and having to bring a brush every time was a bit of a hassle.

I bought this pot-type lipstick in a dark raspberry burgundy shade after seeing a makeup look on Amelie's blog. It applies sheer and thin, but you can build up the color. I used it a lot during fall and winter seasons.

If you wear this on its own, you might end up looking like death warmed over. I found it works better when I apply a burgundy shade first and then dab this on in certain areas. It's definitely not an easy color to pull off...

While it's not exactly the shade I was looking for, it's quite close. It has a strong purple undertone and gives off a truly decadent vibe.

For those who like deep colors, this would create an amazing vibe if worn alone. I plan to use it for gradient effects in the center of my lips. When I applied it as a full lip color, it made my face look quite pale. There's no yellow undertone at all. (It's the second color in the photo.)

The texture is not great. It's tricky to apply with a brush and equally awkward with fingers. It has a sticky consistency (imagine lip gloss without the stringiness). When you apply it, it clings to your lips and spreads out. However, it doesn't last even two hours. As time passes, it dries up and becomes patchy. Touch-ups are a must. I wanted to give it 3 stars, but the color is so pretty that I'm giving it 4.

The color is absolutely rare, haha! I split it with a friend after buying Amelie Vampire and Cold Blood. While Vampire is the typical blood-red you often see, Cold Blood is more like a dark blue-ish raw liver color. It's a mix of purple and black.

It seems to look even prettier when applied lightly over lip balm.

Since it's a dip-and-apply type, the product gets all over your hands, and it's a bit of a hassle to always remember to bring a brush.

The color has this perfect vampire vibe. I really fell for its strangely alluring shade.

It's best to apply a thin layer of lip balm first, then gently pat this on with your fingers for a better result.

It's difficult to control the intensity, and it's so drying that it severely emphasizes dead skin cells on the lips.

The color is gorgeous! It gives off an even more vampy vibe than Amelie Vampire.
