Ameli Step Basic Eye Shadow [222 Cocoa Beige]

I've been using it for 4-5 years already, and the shade is a perfect match for my summer muted tone. I often apply the Cocoa Beige lightly over my eyelids even without drawing an eyeliner. It's just perfect for daily use. I also use it as a base for other eyeshadow colors, applying it lightly. The texture is really fine and smooth, and when you run your fingers over it, you can't even see the powder itself. It has a finely ground feel to it. That's how good the application is. It doesn't go on thick and heavy, but applies very smoothly and softly..!

There's really nothing disappointing about it, but if I had to find a flaw, it would be that the quantity is too much.(It's both an advantage and a disadvantage, so it's quite ambiguous..) I've been using the same container for years now.. The large quantity is great because I don't have to worry about stocking up, and I can use it liberally. However, I'm concerned about hygiene, so I want to use it up quickly, but since I only apply it to my eyes, the amount doesn't seem to go down very fast. It might be better to have a smaller, more appropriate quantity like some other eyeshadow brands.

It seems many people use Cocoa Beige for contouring as well, but for my skin, it ended up looking a bit reddish when I tried using it for contouring. So I use Cocoa Beige only on the eye area, and use the same brand's 'Macaron Gray' for contouring on the nose, and the combination works really well. Just with these two, I can complete a muted-tone daily makeup look. I really hope Amelie continues to thrive and maintain its consistency for a long time to come ㅎㅎ

I initially bought this product because I was drawn to the Amelie eyeshadow and wanted to match the color. The color was overshadowed by other shades and didn't get much attention, but this is a great product. It's similar to my skin tone, but a slightly deeper shade without any reddish or dark undertones, creating a nice, polished look. The combination of cocoa beige and rose brown is perfect. This eyeshadow would suit cool-toned people as well. It's a basic skin tone color but not at all dull.

The lack of an online store where I can swatch the products in person and the large size of the eyeshadow pan are downsides. Even if I were to cut it in half, it would still be more than enough.

Since the Amelie eyeshadow comes in a large size, you can try it out first and if it doesn't suit you, you won't be wasting too much money. If you think you'll use a lot of it, then go for the full-size product.
