I originally used Moroccan oil for about 2 years without knowing much, but after realizing it was full of silicones, I did some research and chose this product. It's hard to find hair products completely free of silicones, so I didn't expect that. Instead, I bought this because it has more oils that protect from heat damage listed higher in the ingredients than silicones. Although it's a leave-in treatment, it contains low molecular weight proteins and oils (which protect proteins from heat damage), so I use it before drying my hair. Since I have short hair, I don't use separate treatments or conditioners. After shampooing, I pump it about 3 times, apply it evenly, and then dry my hair - it works perfectly for me! The price is a bit high, so it might be a burden for those with longer hair. While it's impossible to completely avoid silicones, I wish they would use even smaller amounts in the formula. Even though it's a leave-in treatment, it contains oils, so it's great to use before drying your hair! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 9, 2020
It has a delightful apple-like scent, and the texture is similar to a light emulsion. This means it doesn't leave a sticky feeling after application. The ingredients could be better. While it absorbs well due to its thin consistency, it evaporates quickly. The quantity is quite small, and the price is a bit steep. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 27, 2019
It's great for everyday use. The essence feels like it absorbs well into the hair, and it seems to dry even faster after application. I really liked that! The ingredients are... quite disappointing. I expected better ingredients from this brand's image, but I was shocked when I looked at the ingredient list. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinDec 24, 2016
I tried this as a sample without much expectation, just wanting to use it up quickly. But I ended up falling head over heels for it! My hair became silky smooth and incredibly soft. What's more, the fragrance absolutely won me over! It's a shame the volume is so small. I'll definitely purchase a larger size as soon as it's available. - qh******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 6, 2016
I tried this hair essence as a sample, and it's the best I've ever used! I can really feel my hair texture improving after using it. I plan to keep using it in the future. The downside is that it comes in a small amount for a very high price. I'll have to use it sparingly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 17, 2015
I finally bought this product after trying a sample and absolutely loving it. My current hair condition: bleached and dyed twice, with the bleaching done almost a year ago. I've tried Silk Therapy and argan oil treatments because they were highly recommended, but they were useless for me. It seems that hair, like skin, requires different products based on its condition. My hair is fine and the ends were completely fried due to lack of care, making it impossible to even run my fingers through while washing. But this line's conditioner and essence work wonders for me. The joy of being able to comb my hair again! The moringa flower scent is lovely too. The quantity feels a bit small for the price. I'll have to test how it works without the conditioner... - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 3, 2015
When you apply this before drying your hair and gently massage it in, you can feel your hair eagerly absorbing the essence. It doesn't leave your hair greasy, but instead feels like it's completely absorbed. On days when I don't use it, my hair immediately feels stiff, but on days when I do, my hair becomes soft and delicate. Compared to other Kiehl's products with similar purposes, this one is about twice as expensive.
