Impassioned by MAC lit up my warm-toned face like a fluorescent light. Though I eventually got bored and gave it to my sister, the color selection is truly spot-on. Those iconic black bullet cases... I used to be obsessed with MAC lipsticks and bought quite a few, but I stopped once I started using YSL lip products. Of course, MAC is known for its expert color curation among makeup brands. Impassioned was my absolute favorite shade. Being an Amplified formula, it applies with a creamy texture that's neither matte nor glossy. In the photo, it's the middle shade in the top row - a vibrant hot pink. Before giving some to my sister and older sister, I kept a bit in my palette, which reminded me to take this picture. Out of the 9 shades - Lil' Sexy, Impassioned, Vegas Volt, Giddy, Nicki, (Chanel Genial), Victorian, Silly, and Miley Cyrus 2 - all but one are MAC lipsticks. Besides these, I've also tried Lustering, Ravishing, and Crosswires.
The color payoff is intense and it stains well, which can be both a pro and a con in my opinion. For convenience, you might prefer lip products that leave a lasting stain. However, from a long-term perspective, it's not the best for your skin.
I remember being careful to apply it over lip balm or taking extra steps to protect my lips.
