This is the best primer I've tried so far.
I finally found my holy grail product.
Those who have not felt much effect from professional primers despite having oily skin will likely find this product much more suitable.
I have oily skin with deep pores and I usually wear glasses, and the amazing thing about this product is that it keeps the foundation from sliding off even when I'm wearing glasses. I thought the foundation rubbing off around the nose area where the glasses touch was an unavoidable physical issue, but it doesn't slide off!
Compared to the Porefessional, this is a thicker cream-type formula, so it feels much more creamy. While the Porefessional has a silicone-like slightly slippery feel, the Dr. Feelgood has a more dense, powdery finish. The thicker formula also does a better job of filling in large pores compared to the Porefessional. I also found that the Porefessional tends to feel a bit slippery and lose longevity on my heat-prone skin, but the Dr. Feelgood holds up well without that issue. The oil-control effect also seems to be the biggest advantage of this product. With the sudden heat wave and increased outdoor activities recently, I didn't need to touch up my makeup at all, as the foundation stayed in place and I didn't experience excessive oiliness.
I would recommend this product over the Porefessional for those with oily skin, large pores, and heat sensitivity like myself.
I really haven't had any major issues so far.
The sponge... I just assumed the Benefit products don't come with accessories like brushes or sponges, so I didn't think of it as a problem...
The lid being difficult to open is a common complaint, but I found mine to be loose enough to open easily, so I'm actually worried about the lid opening accidentally when I'm carrying it around.
And the product can get clumpy depending on the base products used. In my case, when I apply it over Avène products or thicker eye creams, it tends to form clumps. But it's less of an issue if I make sure to fully absorb the base products before applying the primer.
Since the price is quite high at around $48, if you're unsure which Benefit Porefessional product to get, I'd recommend trying a kit to test out the different options.
