I really like it!
ConsWhen you first apply it, there's a unique sensation that's almost like a tingling feeling.

The packaging is adorably designed.
ConsAfter applying this, I experienced a rough, tingling sensation around my lip line. I had a similar burning sensation with L'Occitane's lip balm too. I think the stick formula might not suit me, so I'm planning to try a tube version instead.

ConsI have atopic dermatitis, and when I apply this after washing my face, it stings quite a bit. My skin gets red due to the condition, and even though I keep applying lip balm, it doesn't seem to improve.

ConsOccasionally, I experienced a slight tingling sensation, possibly due to applying too much product.

Unlike other solid stick formulas that tend to layer up when reapplied, this one actually builds up when you apply more. #Ingredients There was news about the tube version containing mineral oil, a carcinogen (I remember seeing a correction article stating either that mineral oil isn't carcinogenic or that it's not in the product - for those concerned about carcinogens). The stick version, however, has relatively safe ingredients, which is reassuring. I recall that even when the news broke, it only focused on the tube version. #Scent Although it contains fragrance, there's barely any scent. It seems it's added just to neutralize any unpleasant odors. #Longevity It's not bad, but not dramatic either. Even with generous application, it lasts about an hour before diminishing to a moderate level. I'd say it's so-so~pretty good?
Cons#Cooling Sensation Usually, I don't mind a cooling sensation in lip products, but when my lips are chapped or peeling, it stings quite a bit... It would have been better without this potential for irritation. #Hygiene Being a stick form, it's unavoidable, but it's prone to collecting debris. Even if I wipe it thoroughly with a tissue after eating, it still feels a bit unsanitary... #No Retraction The biggest drawback of Carmex sticks... With other lip balms, I'm used to twisting them up and down freely, so it's frustrating to have to be careful about how much I twist up. But it's a tolerable flaw, I suppose. The tube version has the same issue anyway.

The stick format made it convenient for reapplication.
ConsI'm not sure why, but when I used the product I bought directly from overseas, I developed a severe cold sore on my lips. The jar and tube versions of Carmex I bought from places like Olive Young were fine, but when I used this stick version purchased abroad, it became quite irritating, with a burning sensation and tingling. At first, I thought my lips were just sensitive due to fatigue, but after using it for about 3 days, I developed a painful and severe cold sore on my lips.

ConsMy lips are usually super sensitive, and after applying this, they felt itchy and a bit tingly.
TipI wouldn't recommend this for those with super sensitive skin or allergies.

Indeed, it is. Truly so.
ConsIt stings... I bought two of these without realizing it was the cause. I feel so cheated.

The texture was extremely firm, with an overpowering menthol scent. Upon application, instead of feeling moisturizing, it was more painful due to the burning sensation. For context, I have dry and super sensitive skin. I typically apply lip balm dozens of times a day and feel extremely parched without it. I bought this in a hurry from a convenience store when I was desperate, but it seems the menthol ingredient doesn't agree with me. If I had to find one good point, it's that it's easily accessible. For those who aren't sensitive to menthol, you might find it adequately rich and hydrating. It might also give your lips a slightly plumper appearance.
ConsAfter using it for about a week, I developed blisters around my lips. I immediately applied ointment which cleared up the blisters, but my lips became extremely dry, swollen, and chapped. They would sting when touched by water or toner. I initially thought it was due to fatigue, but now I believe the swelling and blisters were caused by the burning sensation from the menthol ingredient.

I usually manage dead skin cells with lip balm. So I love the feeling when I apply it generously before bed, and in the morning when I rub my lips, the dead skin cells seem to disappear. This product gave me the best feeling in that regard (when used alone).
ConsIt's really too spicy. I'm a bit sensitive, but not overly so. However, this was so painful that for a moment I wondered if I had suddenly become super sensitive and was rejecting it. It stung a lot, and if it spread even a little, the area would become red and raised. This was true for everyone. I don't recommend using this alone for those who don't like spicy foods and those with super sensitive skin. (By sensitive, I mean disliking pain, heat, and ingesting lip products, while by super sensitive, I mean reacting with irritation to any product that doesn't suit you, for reference.)
TipIt's spicy but really effective, so apply a thin layer of another lip balm or Vaseline, then apply this thickly to your lips for good dead skin cell care. For hydration, apply it 30 minutes before going out or using other lip products, and anything you apply after will go on smoothly.
