I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of The Hwahae Testers and I'm sharing my review right after trying it! The effects seem really good. My only regular exfoliation routine is using the Himalaya scrub once a week. I used it this morning, and while it leaves my skin smooth after washing, I've never felt it truly removes dead skin cells enough to improve makeup application. However, when I used The Saem Cell Renew Gel in the evening, it seemed to remove stubborn dead skin cells that the Himalaya scrub couldn't, leaving my face feeling incredibly smooth and refreshed.
I definitely don't have sensitive skin... Most cosmetics don't cause any issues for me, and I've never had my skin completely break out from a product. At worst, I might get a small blemish if a product doesn't suit me or if my skin isn't in good condition. But this gel felt quite irritating to me. I've seen reviews saying the Himalaya scrub is harsh, but I've been using it for a long time and find it manageable. It feels rough during application, but doesn't seem to damage my skin. This gel, however, felt hot and tingly while massaging it in, and my skin became visibly red, as if I was developing redness. Even considering its exfoliating effects, I'm not sure if I'll continue using this product. If I do, it'll probably be very occasionally, only when I have a lot of dead skin cells to remove.
While scrubs like the Himalaya one are physically abrasive, The Saem Cell Renew Gel feels more chemically irritating. It seems my skin is more sensitive to chemical exfoliation than physical exfoliation. I wouldn't recommend this to people with similar skin types. If you're considering buying it, try to get a sample and test it on the back of your hand first! I wanted to give it 2 stars, but I gave it 3 because it might be a good product for those who don't find it irritating. The first photo shows my skin right after cleansing without any product. The other photos show my skin after massaging the gel and after rinsing it off. You can see that my skin looks redder after exfoliating. On second thought, maybe my skin reacted more sensitively because I exfoliated twice in one day. Keep that in mind.
