1. It removes makeup well
You can just wipe it off with cotton pads and almost all of the foundation and BB cream will be removed. I didn't feel like anything was left behind.
However, for point makeup like eye makeup, I recommend using a separate makeup remover. Mascara and the like are still a bit difficult to remove completely.
2. It's convenient
When I'm really tired and can't be bothered to remove my makeup, I just dab some on a cotton pad and quickly wipe it off before going to bed. It's a lifesaver.
3. It's affordable
Compared to other cleansing water prices, this one is very cheap. Considering the cleansing power, I think the cost-effectiveness is excellent.
It also comes in a large size, so it's very satisfying in terms of both price and volume.
1. Since it's a water-based product, it's not as powerful as cleansing oils.
And since I have oily skin, when I used cleansing oils, I enjoyed massaging my face and seeing the sebum come out. But that's not possible with a cleansing water.
(This isn't really a downside of this product, but more of a limitation of cleansing waters in general, so I was a bit hesitant to mention it.)
As a result, my skin still felt a bit oily after using this.
2. It may be irritating for sensitive skin
The alcohol scent can be a bit irritating.
And you have to rub the cotton pad with the cleansing water, and I found this to be a bit stinging.
You have to keep rubbing until no more base makeup comes off, and even with a soft cotton pad, the friction can be irritating.
So I don't think I could use this every day.
If it doesn't work well for you like it didn't for me, try using it with a brush cleaner.
It's much better than using a regular cleanser.
You won't feel like the brush bristles are getting damaged or rough.
And the cleaning is super easy - just pour the cleansing water into a paper cup, put the brush in, and swish it around.
You can do the same for puffs too, just put them in and gently massage.
And it's great for cleaning shoes too.
If the white parts of your sneakers get dirty, you'll be amazed at how well the cleansing water can clean them.
It's great for fabrics that are hard to wash with just water.
