I was really stressed because whiteheads made my makeup patchy and not adhere well, but seeing them gradually disappear is such a relief. If you apply it consistently, your skin really improves! It stings too much. My skin isn't particularly sensitive, but it's quite uncomfortable every time I apply it... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinJun 16, 2024
I have pretty resilient skin, so after a short 1-2 day adjustment period, I dove right into using this as my Chap-To (7-skin method)! During the adjustment period, I applied 1-2 pumps, patting it in gently, and immediately followed with another hydrating toner. By the third day, I was doing at least 3 layers of Chap-To. While many people use cotton pads with watery toners for convenience, I found it easier to just wash my hands thoroughly, pump the product into my palms, and pat it directly onto my face. For my nose area, I soaked a cotton pad with the toner and left it on for 20 minutes as a mask. After using it consistently for about a week, I've noticed my blackheads have significantly faded, and my makeup applies more smoothly without pilling, especially around the sides of my nose! I've also been using it on my body, and I think it's helped brighten some areas of hyperpigmentation. While I'm not sure about facial whitening effects, I've definitely seen results on my body. For my face, I just did the Chap-To method, but on my body, I used a textured cotton pad for some physical exfoliation along with the chemical exfoliation from the toner. For the first day or two, it did sting a bit, especially on thinner skin areas like the cheekbones, forehead, and chin. Even now that I've adjusted, I still notice it can make my eyes feel a bit sensitive. However, I think these minor drawbacks are to be expected with an AHA toner. I didn't use cotton pads on my face as I thought it might be too harsh, but if you have very resilient skin, you could try using it as an exfoliating toner. I only used it as an exfoliating toner on my body, and it definitely brightened areas of hyperpigmentation. Since it can really sting if it gets in your eyes, I recommend applying an eye cream or rich moisturizer around your eye area before using this toner. This was my introduction to AHA toners, and now I'm thinking about trying The Ordinary's version next. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinDec 21, 2018
1. I used this to remove whiteheads, and while they didn't completely disappear, I liked how they seemed to gradually fade away. 2. It claimed to manage dead skin cells too, and after using it, my skin has improved significantly compared to before. 3. Recommended for: oily skin, combination skin, those struggling with whiteheads, and anyone looking to manage dead skin cells. I definitely recommend this product for these concerns. I'll explain why I changed my rating from 4 stars to 3 stars for this product. 1. It's extremely tingling Literally, it stings a lot. As someone who has used various skincare products, this is by far the most intense in terms of tingling sensation among all the basic skincare items I've tried. It feels like pouring hydrogen peroxide on an open wound? So, considering the effects, I don't think enduring this discomfort is worth it compared to the results :( 1. Use cotton pads When using this product, it stings so much that I find it's better to apply it gently and slowly using a cotton pad. Some people say it's good to apply after extracting whiteheads, but when I tried that initially, it was too painful, so I switched to using cotton pads. (As you can see in the photo, I've barely used it because it's so uncomfortable ㅜㅜ) - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 15, 2018
You can definitely see the complexion brightening before your eyes... It stings like crazy if it touches any cuts or scrapes on your skin... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 1, 2017
✔️It's effective on whiteheads! Apply it at night and thoroughly cleanse your face in the morning, and you'll see a significant reduction in whiteheads ✔️It's also good for milia As it's an exfoliating product, the milia on my forehead that I've had for 3 years are now completely gone - it's amazing👍👍 I've also tried Baha products, but AHA seems to work better for me (my T-zone is oily, but my cheeks are extremely dry) ✔️It's quite irritating 😢 It stings a lot if it gets on any wounds, pimples, or in your eyes ㅠㅠ ✔️The scent It has a slightly unpleasant, sour smell..? Due to the nature of AHA, it's better to apply it at night rather than during the day If you apply it during the day, the exfoliated areas will be exposed to UV rays😱 and your face will get sunburned - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 5, 2016
There appears to be a bit of whiteheads showing. Not a lot, just a little! When you apply it to the face after getting a cut or pimple, it stings terribly. I tend to get skin irritations easily, and if I forget and apply it, my face literally twists in pain. Use a cotton pad to dab and wipe only the areas with whiteheads that are bothering you, not your entire face. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinOct 21, 2016
The sample I received seems to have a slightly rough texture, but when I tried it, it was so smooth! Even in the morning, my skin feels so smooth and amazing! It stings a bit and the smell is not great. I have sensitive skin, so it felt a bit irritating. But I don't think I'm the only one who experienced that. I use a blackhead removal product from here, and when I apply that along with this product, my skin looks so radiant. After applying everything, I think using a pore-tightening product would also be helpful.
