First off, this shampoo is specifically designed for permed hair, and it really keeps your curls alive. There's a noticeable difference in curl definition when using this compared to regular shampoo. Even though I can't stomach banana milk, the banana scent in this isn't bad at all. Am I the only one who can't get this to lather? It barely foams up... I'm skeptical about whether it's actually cleaning my scalp properly. Even with my dry scalp, I have to do a pre-wash and main wash twice each time I shampoo just to get some lather. Using the recommended amount twice daily like this means the quantity and price are just ridiculous. Also, after shampooing, my hair feels super stiff, like I've washed it with bar soap. I'm only using this because I have a hippie perm and without it my hair gets too limp, but if I didn't have permed hair, I wouldn't want to use this at all. You need to massage the shampoo in for a while to get the best results - about 3 minutes? There's a noticeable difference in curl definition when you take your time versus rushing through it.
