I use the Warm Sand shade, but since Hwahae only lists the Sand color, I'm posting here. First off, I've gone through three of these foundations. Plus, when I checked the ingredients on Hwahae today, I was even more impressed - there's really nothing to fault. Many might think a stick foundation would be drying, but it's quite the opposite. Compared to liquid foundations, it has a texture that's both firm yet moisturizing. It's the foundation that best matches my complexion, and I love how easy it is to touch up - just swipe and blend with a puff. The compact size makes it great for on-the-go. After using this for so long, I tried a liquid formula because I was curious, but I think I'll be coming back to this one. It also has pretty good coverage, which is crucial when choosing a foundation!
The product runs out quickly due to its small size. It actually finishes faster than liquid foundations, even though I don't apply a lot. There's also a risk of it breaking if you're not careful, but I used it without much inconvenience. Being a stick foundation, it does attract some dust, but I didn't find this to be a major drawback. Overall, I'm satisfied.
The first photo compares the texture and color with other products - I've adjusted the balance to match the actual colors as closely as possible. Photos 2-4 show how it applies, each taken after 10 swipes. Only the Bobbi Brown product left almost no finger marks and applied smoothly. The 5th photo compares the texture with the liquid foundation I'm currently using. Don't assume it's matte and heavy just because it's a stick! The last photo is an oil test - I applied it to the back of my hand and blotted with oil paper. While it feels moisturizing, it's much less oily compared to other liquid formulas.
