As I've only used Etude House eyeshadows, please keep in mind that this review doesn't compare it to other brands!
When you try it, you'll understand why everyone raves about City Blossom. The tiny shimmering particles are absolutely stunning when applied - it's truly a golden masterpiece!
It applies evenly without clumping. As you can see in the photos, it blends out beautifully. Some shimmer shadows can clump together, but City Blossom doesn't do that at all - it spreads so smoothly!
I was worried the brown with shimmer might look a bit dated, but it's not like that at all! Just look at the photos - the color is simply gorgeous.
I think it's great value for money. Etude House isn't particularly expensive, and given the quality of this shadow at such an affordable price, it's definitely worth buying!
The packaging is really flimsy. Everything else is fine, but the case feels like cheap plastic, so the lid and base separate too easily. Of the 9 shadows I own, 3 older ones are about to come apart, and 3 others have already separated. This is the biggest drawback. I really wish they'd switch to a sturdier case!
The color is quite intense, so if you usually prefer light makeup or don't suit bold colors, you might end up looking like a panda if you apply too much! I think that's the case for me, so I only use a little bit when I want to add a pop of color.
The shadow melted once and crumbled. I quickly put it back in the case to solidify and dry it, but I think the shadow particles are quite large, making it prone to breaking easily.
It would look great applied as a point color in the outer corner of the eye!
