First off, it definitely has the effect of making your hair look healthier. My hair is thick and wavy, and after just one perm or dye job, the ends split, break, and tangle into a mess. I'd love to skip the perm, but my hair is so strong-willed and frizzy that I can't avoid it. I get various treatments and an annual perm, but just a week after the procedure, my hair starts splitting, breaking, and tangling again. The carefully permed hair becomes frizzy and uncontrollable, but this product definitely has the effect of taming it and even adding a bit of shine on the surface. In my personal experience, applying it after blow-drying rather than before yielded more dramatic results. In terms of visible effects, it's by far the best hair essence product I've ever used.
Unfortunately, it causes skin blemishes. While I do have sensitive scalp and skin, I've never had issues with hair essences before. But with this product, I get acne from my scalp to my hairline and even on my neck where my hair touches. At first, I thought it couldn't be, but when I stop using it, the blemishes disappear, only to return when I use it again. It doesn't help even if I apply it only to the ends of my hair and not the scalp. Worst of all, I'm getting hard, inflamed blemishes in areas where I rarely get acne, like my cheeks in front of my ears, chin, and neck. I've used about half the bottle, but I might have to throw it away despite the high price. Also, like all hair essence products, it doesn't improve hair texture from the root. It just makes it look better on the surface - once you wash your hair, it's back to being frizzy, breaking, and tangling. If it weren't for the skin issues, I would have been satisfied, but for me, this drawback is too critical. I probably won't buy it again.
Applying one pump to the ends of your hair after blow-drying enhances volume and shine.
